I don’t want Colin.  Firstly the blindingly obvious reasons, he’s a dyed in the wool Blade who hates us and has taken the piss out of us in interviews before.  Secondly, it’s not exactly a long term plan is it? Appoint a 74 year old on a short term contract, who’d probably want top dollar, because he has a rep for getting shit squads out of relegation battles.  Yeah wonderful, and then, even if it works, what do we do next season?  We need some continuity and calmness and long term planning in recruitment.  The only ways I can see that happening is either the penny suddenly drops with Chansiri, or a credible buyer turns up with a better understanding of how to run football clubs.  Bottom line is we have a manager who got promoted from this league two years ago with a better squad, and all the usual cliches are out…”clueless”, “fraud” etc

IMO we either need Xisco to get his act together very quickly and demonstrate signs of progression and a discernible system rather than the current apparent disorder OR we will need a quick fix specialist.

Chances of getting a decent long term replacement mid season willing to work with the current players with little past evidence that he'd be allowed to significantly strengthen in January seems very unlikely. Given that; a short term appointment with a Warnock type record of successful fire fighting would maybe enable a manager for the longer term to be in place in May to prepare properly for the new season. Of course that would still require Chansiri getting the right man in then.

Would DC take the 🐍 back?

Thought he was the one that could turn us around.

OK he ditched us but he went for his boyhood club. Who of us wouldn't do that? To me that is forgivable.

Was watching his interview with Simon Jordan and he seems like he'd be tempted for the right gig. Mentioned Ull how he'd be more swayed to do what he didn't want the last time.

Another interview I've seen he just wanted to be loved at a club. He could've had that with us, a few dissenters would be against his return it but would come around if results improved.

Last time we were a couple of players from going up. Smarmy **** came in and put us at the other end of the table, we've not recovered from that

I know its an unpopular opinion but I have mentioned before I would take Bruce back tomorrow. I do understand why he left us, it was more the how he did it at the time that I was angry about but time has passed since. Ty says it will never happen though.

Plus it doesn't feel like fucking Xiscos going anywhere soon does it!

The sad reality is that there isn’t a plethora of great managers available who I think we’d get instant success with.

There isn’t a prayer that we are taking a manager from another club.

A fair few out of work managers would not touch us without certain guarantees over contracts and budgets, which means we’d be dipping into the out of work foreign manager market.

There’s names like Warnock, Bruce, Wilder and Warburton being linked. I can’t see the first three taking it, and I’ve never been convinced by Warburton. There is an outside option if we can tempt him, and that would be Chris Hughton who is managing Ghana, but again, we are a short term team, and he’s a long term manager.

There's 50 odd clubs below us in England, 30 odd in Scotland and hundreds in Europe that we could literally walk up to and grab their manager like a pissed teenage gypsy at a wedding

Hughton didn't want to know few years back when we seemingly had money to chuck abart. Doubt he'd even pick up the phone now.

I may be fully blinkered but any manager that is the real deal and truly believes they can do it should be jumping to get the job. Yeah I get it's a bit of a madhouse but DC for all his faults does back his managers.

Get the right man in and this place would take off.

I agree mate, but if out of work managers were a card in a full deck of them, we literally pulled out the fucking joker when we selected ours from the pack!

I think we picked out the card that’s got the manufacturer’s name on it with an ad for a couple of their other products.

Watford maybe punting Ismael Valerien into touch if they lose tomorrow night at Sunderland

Haven’t they just given him a new contract?

Can we please swallow our pride and get a Colin in ASAP

From the point of view of sorting the team out its a no brainer but there'd be civil war in the fan base so realistically it can't happen.

There’s already division, few victories sorts that

You wonder if DC might just do it. In the eyes of some it would sacrilegious. Does he have the gonads? Is he mad enough? It really would be make or break for him.

If this is the case, I hope they go back and hire the manager that got them promoted out of this division last time round.

Rooney to Birmingham City is the latest rumour

Yeah that’s been going around for the last 24 hours. If so we should go and get Eustace, did a brilliant job in a similar situation last season.

Some of our fans would be complaining we'd got Peter back.   🙄
