Q...P...Are we going to get back to winning ways?
SouthamptonOwl replied to Otto_Man's topic in The Martin Haigh Suite
Doubly so as it was the youngest sons first home game since becoming an Owl. He's tried a couple of clubs (down south) but Saints away last season changed him to Wednesday. He's still buzzing today๐๐๐๐๐ (So am I actually ๐๐๐๐๐) -
Q...P...Are we going to get back to winning ways?

Just got back home. Up seeing family before Christmas and thought I'd catch the game. Amazing finish to the match. Made for a happy drive home. Now for safety ๐๐๐ป -

Could he do a job...... Up front? -
Jan, Feb he looked gone and off to Scotland. Since then he's a vital player, wherever that might be. And he needs his own fishing show ๐๐

Taaaaaaaagers (A) Match Thread
SouthamptonOwl replied to HoylandOwl's topic in The Martin Haigh Suite
Stop the season now. We're mid table, Leeds bottom half. Huddersfield, Hull and Boro down.๐ -
I'm absolutely gutted. As Bells said, first player to play for Wednesday who was younger than me. RIP Bartman.๐ฅ
-
RIP Tricky Trev

Down here the locals are sh@ting themselves. The team was poor last year, half want to leave and they are worried we are running with form and will gub them.

Steve Haslam Here me out Once highly rated. England Youth International. Played in the Premier League. Ended up in the lower divisions. Still at Wednesday.

There is really. It just pisses me off that a tin pot outfit like Bournemouth are in the top flight and we are getting a point against Oxford. Even worse is working with their fans who a few years ago would rather admitted to going dogging at the weekend than say they were at the game. Now there are kids out there who have heard of Bournemouth and not of Wednesday 'cos we've been shit for so long. Sorry rant over.

Oh they love their AFC bit. Pre season they printed Premier League tables with them top. Alphabetical order๐. "AFC Bournemouth, we're top of the table" This was a pre season chant. They lost 1-0 to Bristol City. I'm not sure they saw the irony ๐คฃ๐คฃ

Ivan Toney facing 232 betting breach charges
SouthamptonOwl replied to Tylluan's topic in The Martin Haigh Suite
He should have tried for sponsorship. "Ivan Toney charged with Bet365 betting breaches" would have helped pay his lawyers fees ๐ -
Pearson?

Best Wednesday XI since 1992?
SouthamptonOwl replied to HoylandOwl's topic in The Martin Haigh Suite
Can't argue with that apart from Thome for Gardner or even Pearson. -
4. 0-2? 6. Worthington?

Players who turned it around?
SouthamptonOwl replied to HoylandOwl's topic in The Martin Haigh Suite
90 minutes I thought, but you're right that we were thought as Premier League contenders with Sinton added. -
When I moved away from Yorkshire I ended up in Bournemouth for a while in the late 90's. Harry had moved to South Today at that point and it was great to hear a proper accent on the telly. His best moment was when they read out the cricket results one evening and Yorkshire had hammered Hampshire. Everyone on the show was saying it was a shame and Harry just sat their with a huge grin ๐. He then just muttered, "As it should be". Good old boy RIP
