And one more. Be interesting if Plymouth can keep playing without the fear.

That comes from the players but also the fans. That is a key difference at present, we expect to get promoted, they want to get promoted. So there is a positivity which I think even the most blue and white tinted fans would confess we simply don't have.

So our expectation simply works against us - where here you can see how it absolutely works for them.

Not only that, their fans largely get behind them. At home our fans are mainly shit. Something has to happen before people get behind the team, until then it’s, ‘chanter chunter’

MK hit the nail on the head. There’s no expectation at Plymouth and the fans are genuinely enjoying and reveling in what they are seeing and where they are in the league. I’d compare it to our first season under Carlos.

It’s different for us. There is an expectation within our fanbase that we should be up automatic and blowing everyone away, and there is a vocal minority who simply don’t like the coach no matter how he or we do. And, sadly, our support at Hillsborough is utter shit, not in numbers, but in vocalness. In a crowd of 25,000, we have probably 22,000 chunterers, and what is becoming noticeable is that it is starting to appear away from home.

IF we go up, there would be a reality check, and the first sign of trouble in the division above would see the crowd turn again.

To add to the point both us and Plymouth won 4-2.

Ok they had a local derby element but what a contrast at full time in the celebration.

Change of collective mindset and appreciate we have no God given right to be in any league other than the one we play,

Think you're downplaying how much of a derby this is, it's massive in Devon and this was the first time Plymouth have beaten Exeter in nearly 6 years and they got their arses handed to them the last time they played. Plus the nature of the scoring will have made the result all the more bittersweet - behind twice and they win, great night for them.

Plymouth always do well up to Christmas though don't they? 4th after boxing day last season, nowhere come the end
