We need at least ten wins don’t we, I think we will get some quality younger players on loan and just go for it

I think we need 12 wins from 22 games. So, 36 points.

We have 5 games between now and the end of Jan, we need to avoid needing 12 wins from 17 games. So any critical business we do needs to be early.

I can understand why Rohl has put DC under pressure to get things done early.

He’s not really a player who’d ever be popular here as he’s quite languid and Wednesday fans hate that at first (Sibon won us over) but I think he’s looked brighter this season than last. If playing in Europe and in a less physical, slower league he’s got decent technique it may suit him. Standard Liege is a real surprise though and a no brainer for him if true

Really hope this isn’t true.  The guy just oozes class.  We should hold out for a decent transfer fee.😉

He did such a powerful run with the ball late on, surging right up the pitch to just in front of us, that the PNE players looked startled. For us it was like, 'Here's what you could have had."

I'm hearing we may ask Hull if we can take James Furlong on loan. 21 year old left back they signed from Brighton at beginning of this season. Hull are willing to let him go out on loan but want him to get as much game time as possible.

Negotiations may happen today but Motherwell also want him as do a couple of L1 clubs

You would hope that we would top that list and its certainly a position we need to strengthen.

There is at least a bit of a breather after today in the League fixtures.

Indeed if either us or Watford progress in the FA Cup that scheduled game on the 27th will be shifted. There is a gap 30 /31 Jan saying that

But we might only play Southampton A and Coventry H - the former in particular looks daunting.

You hope we can move early on the squad, but the practical reality it will be the last day

It's the game time that might be the problem. I'm hoping that DR and Beadell don't take any deal that has 'guaranteed' game time in it

I think he sees left back as a critical position and purely because I think he wants an orthodox defensive left back with Johnson playing as an attacking full back. Famewo is a good player, but better inside.

And maybe made out of balsa wood.

DRAWB

I know it's a tongue in cheek statement...

But he has put more effort into SWFC than some players that were supposedly fans.

We can't run a football club on sentiment, Gregory's time here is done, time to move on

Yep, it's time for him to move on.

But he should go with a big round of thanks and appreciation for his efforts.

A proper player and a proper professional.

Not the worlds greatest, but gave his all for what is supposed to be his biggest rival team.

I have nothing but respect for the man.

Whole heartedly agree. He’s been great for us, and if he gets a move, he’s earned it. He’s clearly good enough for the division below.

Linked with Isaac Hayden again

Bit convoluted this one mate ........ Geordie colleague told me a couple of weeks ago that they were recalling him from Standard to farm him out to us for the the rest of the season, the daft bastards gave him a 6 year contract & need to put him in the shop window. DR is keen & wants it to happen. Standard kicked off & Bakinson is the sweetener!

Stumbling block is Standard are currently under a transfer embargo for non payment of wages  (their owners are 777 Group so this really doesn't bode well for Everton)

On the Lee Gregory front ...... A close relative of Lee's goes home & away with us (think you know who I mean) & he tells us all the reported interest from Wrexham, Derby & Burton is true but the only firm bid has come from Cambridge, managed by his old Millwall boss Neil Harris!

I would not let get Windass go until the end of the season, unless someone made a considerable cash type of offer

The ball is firmly in his court. He can decide to leave in the summer NOW if he wishes.

Maybe that’s why he started learning Spanish?
