He's on £31k. He'd have to at least halve that to come to us on a permanent deal and if he's willing to take £12-16k in wages then he'll have most of the lower end of the Championship asking about him.

And Bannan will never lose the armband unless he's the one who gives it up.

He’s on 31k? Where’s that figure from? No chance

The Hull manager Shota Arvaladze speaks about Mallik Wilks.

"I am not expecting him to leave, I am expecting him to use all his energy to play with us.

"He had a good pre-season. Unfortunately, he missed eight days because of a small pain. Now he is back again and I hope he gets his chance, whether that is 10, 25 or 45 minutes.

"I never wanted him to leave. It is his turn to show he wants to stay and play."

Surely to use all his energy to play for them he'd have to be selected for the match day squad?

I saw in a newspaper (or it could be The Star) that we were being linked with a young Shrewsbury striker, Maybe for one of the youth teams?

Sure it wasn’t Swansea?

Apparently, Nixon has said we're giving a trial to Lewis Lloyd (never heard of him) an 18 year-old. Hopefully one for the future, but not really newsworthy I'd have thought.

17 goals and 17 assists in Shrewsbury's u18s last season and a run out in the Papa John's against Wolves kids where he scored and had an assist for another.

6ft, not bad pace and quite technical and not afraid to go where it hurts. Picked up from Connahs Quay, where he'd played a couple of LAW games at 16.

I love threads about players like this, it’s like a throwback to playing Championship manager and finding a gem.

Aye, except when I signed Cherno Samba and Freddy Adu for Wednesday in League One, they both turned out to be shite.

Thanks for not putting the right name down!!

Well, Alan Nixon is showing terrific insight if what I've just read on twitter is true....

His patreon followers have discovered that, Wednesday are on the look out for players.

Brilliant.

They're 16 years old. It was either scholars forms with us or scholars forms with Brentford B.

As alluded to in that article, Brentford have regained an u18 academy status but it falls into their B team set up. Means they'll be tapping up a lot more 15 and 16 year olds

It works both ways.

We 'ambushed' Luke Cook during an extended trial he was having with Brentford B and he came on tonight after scoring for the 21s against Swansea

He looked shattered about 5 mins after coming on.

Danny Cadz should be first name. We'll lose him if not

No we won't, he's signed a contract now he has to show it was right for both parties

In talks with Mark McGuinness of Cardiff as per various twitter bods.

Season loan, 21, centre half

Came through the ranks at Arsenal

Played 34 first team games for Cardiff City last season.

Don’t know much else about him. Hope he has some pace!

Promising centre half. Tall. Wins his headers and his tackles. Can also play a bit and does, as you’d expect from anyone who has come through Arsenal’s academy. Average pace for a young central defender. Extremely right footed and has predominantly played on the right of a defensive middle two, rarely has he played in a defensive three. If he's coming in then I'm guessing that would make Palmer the left hand cover and where would it leave Iorfa?

I assume they've signed a few defenders then if he's not needed this year.

Morrison now has five centre halves at Cardiff but their forums are 'agitated' he's the one that's going out on loan. They reckon bringing him in was the only good thing Barnsley Mick did. He dropped a couple of bollocks but became a fan favourite, looking assured when he played last season.

I can't see us getting rid of him to be honest, but personally speaking I think we could do better. Harlee Dean for instance.
