Former Owls

Had a quick flick through their lineups earlier and noticed Brennan has been getting little or no game time at Swindon.

Be a shame for him to stagnate after he showed promise for us last season.

I think he started their first couple of games and was subbed off both times, as they shipped a few goals. Since then he’s been on the bench. As you say, it’s a shame. Hopefully he’ll work his way back into the team.

as far as I understand, it's injury related

Right. Real senile moment.

A good 10 years ago, former Wednesday who was always enthusiastic and smiling came back as a loan player for the opposition (Coventry?) and got a well deserved reception from the kop. Played on the right.

Who the fuck was he?

Mark McKeever - currently sat at a brewpub in Knoxville, Tennessee, two tables over from my niece and her husband.

... glad to contribute.

Joined in a double deal with David Billington from Posh for a mill, had a loan at Bristol Rovers.

My niece's husband texted me that the manager of the local lower-division professional club was just a couple tables over.  Said he used to play in the Prem and texted his name, which i remenbered - not because I have a Walkleyesque knowledge of Wednesday, but because I went to high school with a fella named Mark McKeevor and recalled there being a player of (phonetically, at least) that name.

If im honest, i had to Google it to be certain he played for Wednesday.

Got that wrong, I was thinking of someone else….. Sunday morning slightly hung over head took over.

We had high hopes for those two lads. Shame it didn’t work out
