  1. A 6-0 defeat will often bring a little comfort with a lid of AH points with an own goal or a penalty in the mix. Not today though as there were just two yellow cards from the visit to Portman Road. They went to Ihiekwe and Valks, with the latter meaning we now have a three way tie at the top of the table. Barry Bannan 12 Akin Famewo 12 Will Vaulks 12 Di’shon Bernard 10 Bambi Diaby 9 Anthony Musaba 7 Callum Paterson 7 Pol Valentin 7 Liam Palmer 7 Michael Ihiekwe 5 Josh Windass 5 George Byers 4 Juan Delgado 4 Ashley Fletcher 4 Lee Gregory 4 Marvin Johnson 4 Cameron Dawson 3 Jeff Hendrick 3 Djeidi Gassama 3 Malik Wilks 3 Michael Smith 3 Momo Diaby 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Kristian Pedersen 1 Gui Siqueira 1 Ike Ugbo 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  2. As others have said there is no such thing as a loan deal with a recall clause outside of the transfer windows. Trying to crowbar Chansiri errors in wherever you can does your cause no good; and this “freezing out of players” one is a prime example imo. It has a real feel of he’d have been criticised whichever way it went. Johnson leaves and does great for his new club (especially if it was a club in the same division) and Chansiri’s a fool for allowing it; Johnson doesn’t leave and Chansiri’s a fool for not letting him leave. And I’d be interested to know how you know we had a full wages loan deal on the table for him; who it was from; and then whether @Tylluan had heard anything about it.
  3. And since coming back into the side has contributed important goals, assists and been part of clean sheet winning defences. So, the decision to not ship him out. Correct or not?
  4. He did. I used to include managers in this, but then a few seasons ago decided not to.
  5. For the second game running, there was just a single yellow card to add to the tally. Against Leeds it went to Famewo, and it moves him alongside Bannan at the top of the pile. Barry Bannan 12 Akin Famewo 12 Will Vaulks 11 Di’shon Bernard 10 Bambi Diaby 9 Anthony Musaba 7 Callum Paterson 7 Pol Valentin 7 Liam Palmer 7 Josh Windass 5 George Byers 4 Juan Delgado 4 Ashley Fletcher 4 Lee Gregory 4 Michael Ihiekwe 4 Marvin Johnson 4 Cameron Dawson 3 Jeff Hendrick 3 Djeidi Gassama 3 Malik Wilks 3 Michael Smith 3 Momo Diaby 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Kristian Pedersen 1 Gui Siqueira 1 Ike Ugbo 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  6. But, but, but, he’s pissed off with us because we messed him around on transfer deadline day. Not too many of the transfer window disasters left are there? Two of the four signings in the massive success category, and one definitely better than we had. Think there’s only not getting Gregory off the wage bill left isn’t there? Apart from the two that we had no control over - not that logic is going to be a factor for them.
  7. Just a single yellow from the Plymouth game, and it went to Momo Diaby. Barry Bannan 12 Akin Famewo 11 Will Vaulks 11 Di’shon Bernard 10 Bambi Diaby 9 Anthony Musaba 7 Callum Paterson 7 Pol Valentin 7 Liam Palmer 7 Josh Windass 5 George Byers 4 Juan Delgado 4 Ashley Fletcher 4 Lee Gregory 4 Michael Ihiekwe 4 Marvin Johnson 4 Cameron Dawson 3 Jeff Hendrick 3 Djeidi Gassama 3 Malik Wilks 3 Michael Smith 3 Momo Diaby 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Kristian Pedersen 1 Gui Siqueira 1 Ike Ugbo 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  8. Another clean sheet for our first point v Plymouth. The defensive changes came after the cut off point so it’s 0.2 points for Beadle, Irofa, Ihiekwe and Bernard, 0.1 for Valentin and Johnson. Gassama’s strike turned it into three points. He also gets two points in Meaningful Goals. Who Got Us The Points Ike Ugbo 9 Marvin Johnson 5.9 Anthony Musaba 5 Djeidi Gassama 4 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 2 Di’shon Bernard 1.8 Michael Ihiekwe 1.1 James Beadle 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Akin Famewo 1 Cameron Dawson 0.8 Liam Palmer 0.8 Dominic Iorfa 0.7 Pol Valentin 0.65 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 10.5 Ike Ugbo 10.5 Marvin Johnson 6 Bailey Cadamarteri 5 Djeidi Gassama 3.5 Josh Windass 3 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1
  9. Bet there’s not been many weekends when both Celtic and Rangers have lost.
  10. A clean sheet at Rotherham got us our first point. Any fluid formations play havoc with this table, especially for a 4-4-2 dinosaur like me. So, I’m going to go with whatever Sky shows as the formation from now on, and they had it as a 3-5-2 today. The Iorfa/Valentin change was before the cut off point so the spoils for the right wing back slot are shared between them. All of which means that our first point is distributed like this. Beadle 0.2, Palmer 0.2, Ihiekwe 0.2, Famewo 0.2, Johnson 0.1, Valentin 0.05 and Iorfa 0.05. The other two points are a lot simpler, and of course go to Ugbo. He also gets two points in the secondary table, and moves joint top of that with Musaba. Ike Ugbo 9 Marvin Johnson 5.8 Anthony Musaba 5 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Di’shon Bernard 1.6 Jeff Hendrick 1 Akin Famewo 1 Michael Ihiekwe 0.9 Cameron Dawson 0.8 James Beadle 0.8 Liam Palmer 0.8 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Pol Valentin 0.55 Dominic Iorfa 0.5 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 10.5 Ike Ugbo 10.5 Marvin Johnson 6 Bailey Cadamarteri 5 Josh Windass 3 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Djeidi Gassama 1.5 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1

  12. A distracting F.A. Cup quarter final or a demoralising thrashing for Blackburn tonight?
  13. He passed away a few years ago. There was a nice tribute written by his son in WOTMT when it made a paper return pre-covid.
  14. Looking closer at your picture and I think by those dates Cheat might have finished.
  15. See, that’s the right answer. Cheers Hirsty
  16. No Cheats? Or did you decide they were too good to part with? 😁
  17. RIP Stan. Charlton tried to sign him after we got promoted in 1980. He turned us down because he hadn’t realised we’d gone up, and didn’t want to drop down to the 3rd division. At least that’s what my memory tells me, but a quick Google tells me that he signed for Forest in 1980, so I think it was very unlikely he’d have come to us.
  18. Bernard’s two yellow red card moves him to within two points of the top. There was also a yellow for Johnson. Barry Bannan 12 Akin Famewo 11 Will Vaulks 11 Di’shon Bernard 10 Bambi Diaby 9 Anthony Musaba 7 Callum Paterson 7 Pol Valentin 7 Liam Palmer 7 Josh Windass 5 George Byers 4 Juan Delgado 4 Ashley Fletcher 4 Lee Gregory 4 Michael Ihiekwe 4 Marvin Johnson 4 Cameron Dawson 3 Jeff Hendrick 3 Djeidi Gassama 3 Malik Wilks 3 Michael Smith 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Momo Diaby 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Kristian Pedersen 1 Gui Siqueira 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  19. All three points v Bristol City are credited to Ugbo, and he now leads the table. As both his opener and his second gave us the lead he gets two points for both in Meaningful Goals. Ike Ugbo 7 Marvin Johnson 5.7 Anthony Musaba 5 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Di’shon Bernard 1.6 Jeff Hendrick 1 Cameron Dawson 0.8 Akin Famewo 0.8 Michael Ihiekwe 0.7 James Beadle 0.6 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Liam Palmer 0.6 Pol Valentin 0.5 Dominic Iorfa 0.45 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 10.5 Ike Ugbo 8.5 Marvin Johnson 6 Bailey Cadamarteri 5 Josh Windass 3 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Djeidi Gassama 1.5 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1
  20. @Kaveman - I didn’t watch it, and as no one has contradicted you, I’ve amended it as per your info. So, Valetin loses his 0.1, and Johnson gets it. Who Got Us The Points Marvin Johnson 5.7 Anthony Musaba 5 Ike Ugbo 4 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Di’shon Bernard 1.6 Jeff Hendrick 1 Cameron Dawson 0.8 Akin Famewo 0.8 Michael Ihiekwe 0.7 James Beadle 0.6 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Liam Palmer 0.6 Pol Valentin 0.5 Dominic Iorfa 0.45 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 10.5 Marvin Johnson 6 Bailey Cadamarteri 5 Ike Ugbo 4.5 Josh Windass 3 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Djeidi Gassama 1.5 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1
  21. The first point at Millwall was courtesy of the clean sheet. I’m taking the formation as having been 3-5-2. Shout up if you think that’s wrong. So it’s 0.2 for Beadle, Palmer, Bernard, and Ihiekwe, and 0.1 for Valentin and Johnson. Ugbo’s goal turned it into three points. In Meaningful Goals Ugbo gets two points, and Musaba half for putting us 2-0 up. Who Got Us The Points Marvin Johnson 5.6 Anthony Musaba 5 Ike Ugbo 4 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Di’shon Bernard 1.6 Jeff Hendrick 1 Cameron Dawson 0.8 Akin Famewo 0.8 Michael Ihiekwe 0.7 James Beadle 0.6 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Liam Palmer 0.6 Pol Valentin 0.6 Dominic Iorfa 0.45 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 10.5 Marvin Johnson 6 Bailey Cadamarteri 5 Ike Ugbo 4.5 Josh Windass 3 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Djeidi Gassama 1.5 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1
  22. 23. Five goals in the last six games since the last update. Ugbo contributed three of them, with Cadamarteri and Musaba also hitting the net. Musaba is still our leading scorer with six, with a final tally projection of eight. Cadamarteri and Windass are next on four and on course for just one more. Smith, Cadamarteri and Ugbo on three are also on course for another goal, but if you use the games since Ugbo signed then he should get another five. Gassama is also on course for one more, but our single scorers are now projected to not add to their totals.
