  1. Just the opposite, I'm afraid. It would strengthen them, precisely because they'll be the first ones to come right out and say "fuck that shit right off". I loathe Trump, for what it's worth, but this is a perfect example of how/why he gets traction.
  2. I'm not saying that's wrong - in fact, I'm sure it's right ... but somehow it doesn't quite resonate like it would have, say, a year ago.
  3. I'm not 100% sure why, but that is absolutely awesome.
  4. I really like that Mick Marston animation. It looks like Beastie trying to make his way out of the car park.
  5. Penalty. Saw it, as well as a 1-3 loss to Huddersfield the Wednesday prior. Pretty shite footy trip, that one.
  6. Let's hope you never find out. I fear you've set yourself up for disappointment, there.
  7. My first time up to Sheffield, it was Beastie who said, 'get up to the Travs, get a pint in, and we'll show you around'. Hillsborough might've just been another box ticked (like so many other English footy grounds) for me, but sixteen (wow) years on, and I've been back how many times?, and probably got more mates at Wednesday (including Beastie, obvs) than I do at 'my own' club, if I'm honest. All because Beastie won't just leave it at 'hi mate'. He's as 'engaging' a fellow as I've ever met. It's a reyt wrench, this.
  8. I don't know enough about what Xisco/staff earn, what a credible replacement(s) might cost, or how exorbitant Moore's demands were, to figure it out, so I'll just ask: If Chansiri ends up needing to make a change, will he be looking at comparable costs to what retaining Moore and his staff would have entailed? I'm inclined to suspect not - as Moore was apparently asking for so much - but, again, know too little to presume. I'm not trying to weigh in on who's the 'bad guy', here - I have no trouble finding pros and cons for both. So I'm not trying to stir shit, here, I'm just curious. Anyone got an educated guess?
  9. He's trotted out the old 'positive influence from within' rationalization, as well. Which is hilarious, if actually given a moment's thought.
  10. Fuckin' A, they can. And if you don't want what they want, too ... well ... you're part of the problem.
