Thought Plymouth looked up for it but we ground it out.
We are not even close to being one of the three worst sides in this division, next couple of games might see us fall back a bit but then it’s game on.

Fucking ridiculous that we are 6 points off 12th

The reality check is the next 2 games, I mean for me if we get any points it's a bonus - but the recent run means we will still be in firing distance of plenty of clubs if we don't.

Do we know what the issue with Bannan was, potentially concussion ? Which could see him out for Friday at least

Better side for 65 minutes, just lacked footballers and football nouse in that last 15 minutes. Lots of wrong decisions made by the two Diaby’s and Gassama that kept letting them have the ball back. But, aside from that long ranger, Beadle hasn’t had to save anything and Ihiekwe made a few blocks. But deserved to win it for that first 65 minutes. Some good displays. The starting back three were good as were the two wing backs. Vaulks was good in the first 70 minutes. Poveda man of the match. And it really changed when we didn’t have Bannan and him on the pitch when it came to ball retention.

Massive win and now completely in our own hands now. Any form of positive result on Friday is a bonus.

If I was you I'd clear your cache out. That's an interesting combination that's popped up on the Temu ad at the bottom of your screenshot

Wouldn't mind but I've been no where near Temu....

To be honest, my adverts should be all about different medicines.

Wow I had this one down as a win just as I always feel we lose down there. A long way for them to come mid week but you never know. We deserved it in the end but at 1 nil always tense. Just keep grinding the wins out. 3/4 more needed at least but what a feeling to finally be level with some teams as that has seemed almost impossible for such a long time

So 7 points from the first 18 games to this!

Ok it's crazy how we are still in the bottom 3 but I can't remember a time when 8 teams were separated by 2 points at this stage with 10 to go.

Now it's on!

Crazy that 1 game across all teams will change the bottom half of the table so dramatically

This is what we really needed to join that pack and others get drawn into it.

Tonight was, as we know, massive!

Here's my workings for league positions.

It includes the start of each match tomorrow, so all the 5 matches starting tomorrow have a point on the board, ignore the Average PPG All Years column.

Can understand the nervous last 20 mins - players and fans.
When you look at that league table from 1st Dec, tonight wasn’t about 3 points, or even being a “relegation 6-pointer”. Winning tonight feels like the reward for 4 months hard work playing catch up.  We’re still 23rd but finally on a level footing with the others. Game on!
The 10-game mini league starts Friday.

Well that makes up a little bit for travelling all that way to Plymouth and losing the table just looks ridiculous at the moment

We beat Leeds and I might just lock mesen away with a pot of hand cream and some bog roll for the rest of the weekend 🙌🙌🙌

Really, really needed this one and got it, eases the pressure on the next two tougher games, on current form we could even get something out of those but it won't be easy. Quick shout out to Beadle had the odd lapse but looks a much more assured keeper than Dawson.

Forgot to say, i do them on a day to day basis, not a numerical weekly game basis.

So every day there is a game, whether we play or not, it is updated.

Sometimes takes a while because of holidays and so forth.

But i enjoy looking at the stats.

These new laws are nuts

The 'technical' offside one used in the league cup final was bad enough but without var I'm not liking whatever the judgement was tonight

This idea that a player 'would have been ' in whatever position open's up far too much interpretation

Any way that the powers that be can screw up the fans, it seems they'll take.  The beautiful game was a simple game.

You could see why they're currently better away. Very well organised. It's a club I rate but I'm delighted for their keeper tonight!

Not quite: two big games for us tomorrow, though they can't all win.

What on earth was he doing lateish on when he appeared to leave a through ball in front of T1 to the forward? Gave us kittens!

I was a little surprised with the atmosphere early on yesterday. I thought it would be buzzing after recent results and the prospect of joining a few teams on 38 points but it felt a little nervy at the start.

Thankfully it didn’t translate into the pitch because after the first 5 mins where Whittaker tried to get the better of Neymarv to no avail, that was it for an hour from them. Some of the football we played in the first half at times was fantastic, a real joy and that move which lead to Poveda’s ‘goal’ was …. Nothing short of real top quality. Save for a guessing referees assistant as he was so far behind play he was almost sat with us on the Kop the team would have had the celebrations that they deserved.

There were some very good performances, Vaulks is back to his pre Xmas form, Poveda is just a joy to watch and is a big miss for Friday, Iorfa had a great game on his first start in an age, Beadle did what he was expected to, and well, but Ihiekwe was the one for me.
He’s got better, and he wasn’t bad before. Heads everything away, his positioning was fantastic too against Hardie and didn’t give him a sniff.

It seems Bannan might be ok for Friday, but the one I’m worried about is Valentin, who limped off and he’s another one who’s just got better and better under Rohl.

Our opponents on Friday are a good side as much as it pains me, and we’ll have to be on it. However, after speaking to a few of them, they’re a little wary of us too… which is an indication of how far we’ve come.
Bring it on.
