  1. I think the deal is reported as Undisclosed Fee on BBC so not the free transfer mentioned earlier.
  2. I think the same. I don’t think he’s had a great game yet under Rohl. I know he’s been injured a lot so hasn’t had much game time but I’m not convinced he’ll make it at this level with DRs style of play. That said, we’re hardly blessed with bodies in the middle, so if he was to go I’d expect us to sign another player besides Coventry.
  3. We used to sing “we all fucking hate L**ds” to the damn busters tune and used that as the excuse after the semi final defeat there, if memory serves me correctly (which it often doesn’t). I think we even got an apology from the vicar / priest after the game for the treatment we got from their fans.
  4. I assume he’ll be allowed to leave the club in the window. Makes sense for him to move on and get more first team football.
  5. Merry Christmas everyone. Thanks to you all for contributing towards making this a place of sanctuary for many of us. Hope everyone has a great festive period.
  6. They can both go. Buckley is a decent player but hasn’t featured enough. Gregory appears to be down the pecking order. The rest haven’t offered anything so go without hesitation.
  7. Fletcher, Hendrick, Buckley, Wilks, Gregory (if he wants game time) Bakinson.
  8. Saw Deadletter at Brudenell a few weeks ago. They were excellent. Also saw Blacklisters in a basement in Shipley. Managed to get tickets for Glastonbury again, which I’m delighted about.
  9. Were the supporters groups consulted about this appointment? If not, something else to put on the protest flag. Hopefully the final piece of the back room jigsaw.
  10. If I had to pay each time I went to games, I’d probably go to 5 or 6 a year. As it is, I buy a season ticket and probably miss 5 games a season. I also leave on 65 minutes when it suits (Millwall) without being enraged by having spunked £35 to see us be awful. A season ticket is the only way to keep me fully engaged.
  11. Whilst it used to annoy me that STs went on sale midway through the season, it no longer does. It annoyed me because I had to decide early whether I wanted to continue watching dross (eg when Monk was here). Last season it worked in fans and clubs favour, as we were deciding at a time when we were riding high. This season has been a disaster but I’ll be renewing, based entirely on what DR is trying to achieve. I don’t mind which division that is in. As others have said, it’s something of a moot point as this has been happening for years and so shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.
  12. It’s an almost alien feeling this, happiness on a Saturday night. I thought we were sensational today. As much as we know we lack the quality, now we have passion, commitment, courage and confidence. We have a system and we have belief. We have seen a significant improvement in our fitness. Having these things means not having the quality matters a lot less. We can do ok, despite the players we have. Vaulks and Windass were arguably our best two. Palmer was poor and Bannan and Byers both poor in the first half but overall we did the right things consistently. It was great to see. We threw bodies on the line when needed, we have a way of playing that creates chances. Today we took those chances and that makes all the difference. Lots to be happy about.
  13. They’re there to serve the 50-100 people that will benefit from them. It’s no indication of next year’s season ticket prices as some will make out.
  14. Let’s hope so. Get shut of one or two, free up some places in the squad and get players in for the future, whatever division that may be in. Wilks has been a disaster. I like my players to give everything, regardless of their ability. Him and Fletcher haven’t showed anything in their time with us. They can go. Hendrick looks shot. Those three would be the first out of the door for me.
  15. Had this thread not been about Twin I would have been very disappointed.
  16. Yes. You’re missing the opportunity to have a dig at our owner and chairman.
  17. I’m going to plump for 2004/5. Richard Wood is at the top, Glenn Whelan down the right and I think Graeme Lee is on there. If it is, could be worth in excess of £2
  18. Anonymous group acting under the cover of darkness, probably to hide their red leanings or ginger hair.
  19. They had us 4 on 3 in a little group for the corner. Their 3 occupied our three whilst the other guy attacked the ball and had a free header at goal.
  20. His issue was he didn’t read the cross at all. He bombed in ahead of the ball and therefore put himself in that situation when the cross came in behind him.
  21. He cut across the ball when he should have gone through it.
