  1. Please stop giving Nev more reasons to comment
  2. I think you meant to reply to yourself?
  3. Same. Would rather be building something that sets us up for years than trying to plug a gap in the hope it keeps us up. Quite comfortable if that means dropping down a division to allow him to get things how he want them.
  4. I wonder why the person taking the photo didn’t take a step to their left and get both people in the shot.
  5. I’d be very happy with his appointment. No, he doesn’t have championship experience, nor any experience as a head coach but he’s very highly regarded. He’s worked at a very good level previously so I think most people would be happy with him as manager and give him some time to settle in, if he comes across well in setting out his vision. As others have said seeing a strategy for the future is key to getting fans to buy into it and to quieting the noise about DC.
  6. That’s twice in two days I’ve had to take my cap off indoors when reading your comments. I can confirm I am definitely a weirdo.
  7. I would be surprised if there was anyone at the club who would know both pieces of information. Hardly the stuff they post on the notice board. Smith was someone we were previously linked with and Thompson will know the longer serving players better so both are plausible.
  8. I don’t know much about Beale, other than 5 months at QPR and his ill-fated stint in Scotland
  9. Bruce Carlos Colin Dean Smith It’s going to be a fun few days.
  10. He’s going to do the job himself.
  11. He didn’t say he wouldn’t be putting more money in. He just threatened to not do so. His money is currently turning to dust, so I suspect he’ll appoint a real manager before it’s too late to save the season
  12. Now we can have a couple of weeks wondering who we’ll appoint only to find it’s some some guy who got an under 11s team promoted in Madagascar in 1987.

  14. Give him his job back if that’s the replacement.
  15. There are many times when I wish I had a greater number of points and could attend more away games. This is not one of them. Fair play to anyone making the effort when all signals point to conceding after 5 minutes and the players wondering aimlessly around the pitch for the remainder of the game.
  16. I have defended DC on many fronts. He saved us, he chucked his money in. Seeing his statement yesterday (albeit fleetingly in a car park in Leicester) I thought most of it was fair comment. However, in the very cold light of day, I’ve seen how incendiary it is. Basically he’s threatening everyone, even those that have supported him, because of the actions of the minority. Either we sort out the protestors, or we all suffer. This is having the opposite effect and turning more people against him. The minority will soon become the majority. For all the things he’s done where he can defend his tenure, he would struggle to defend two fundamental things. His managerial appointments. His lack of a long term plan. I had hoped we had moved towards a longer term plan this season but that can only be delivered successfully by having a structure of people that have a track record of delivering this elsewhere. Throughout his time at Wednesday, the one thing that hasn’t changed is that all decisions are taken by DC with advice from Paixao. Neither has proven themselves to be capable of making the right decisions and that should have changed a long time ago. If he doesn’t recognise this and isn’t prepared to change that dynamic then he needs to consider selling.
  17. That team could have been playing together for the first time. A decent manager could send a team of 11 year olds out and beat us. I left after 32 minutes. They players left after 5.
  18. I don’t read it as him declaring no more investment. I read it as him saying carry on behaving like a bunch of ***** and I’ll stop putting money in. It’s a warning, not a commitment.
  19. We will if folk like me spend the build up to the game bursting any black balloons that come in their direction.
  20. Yesterday was very poor and somewhat concerning. Bannan was a miss but I did not expect that line up at all. I mistakenly thought the last two performances were away performances and we’d set up more attacking. Lose Paterson, Smith and Palmer and see Valentin, Musaba and Buckley. Put Gregory up top. And with that, hope to see this aggressive high pressing football we’ve been promised. We saw nothing of it, aside from a 3 minute spell in the first 15 minutes and a few better moments in the second. For the rest, we had no shape, no system, no passion. It was a truly awful performance. Vasquez stood out above anyone, Delgado did ok and Buckley looked like the kind of player we need. We looked so devoid of creativity before he came on. In summary; we stank.
