Interesting how that hasn’t had quite the same national exposure as what happened yesterday. Doesnt change the abhorrent nature but I wonder why the situation at Hillsborough is singled out more than others that have happened over recent months.

It’s another disappointing result but not unexpected. I think we were more competitive than Boxing Day and not just because we were playing at home. I can understand some of the comments about the team selection but I thought we had some good spells but it was against a well drilled team and they are on a high just like Soton, which isn’t to be underestimated. It was a little bit puzzling that Byers and Momo weren’t used. The race is far from run and we don’t need to panic. It’s about picking up wins against those teams around us and nick some from those further up.

I disagree, every home game from now until the end of the season we have to try and win. A point would be no disaster but its our home form that will largely determine if we can stay imho. Today is going to be very tough, think Leicester (Cov beat them recently) and Ipswich at home. Weve improved since those games but its going to be a huge win if we were to pull it off. After this Id say only Leeds and maybe WBA will be anywhere as difficult at home.

It was a great goal to be fair to Bullen. Hes no legend and shouldn’t have been on the legends picture. Good servant, made the best of what he had and was part of some success - even if at Div3. For me legends needs to have not only been good servants to the club but been successful at a higher level like the team of 91 etc.

That’s a shame. I was pretty critical of him when he did play but I always thought he had some quality if used correctly but of course XM was never consistent or implementing a clear game plan - so far as could be made out

Has any info been realised or anyone heard when our game is going to be, it sounds likely to be Sunday but could it be Friday night?

Pleasant read that, even if some points as per ABs comment could be somewhat debatable. I can see an upside to him being involved in lots aspects, but it could also mean we would miss him even more if he leaves. However overall I’d rather he has more control and opportunity to shape things, than be handed whatever someone else thinks he needs.

It’s a good point, a couple of decent fullbacks would make us a lot more solid, even with Diaby in the middle and we might even be more threatening going forward. Palmer is being found out all the time this season. Byers looks like he’s got lead boots on at the moment and he’s a player I’ve rated. just to clarify I think Diaby has improved since DR arrived, up to the sending off today!

Typical Wednesday, just when you think we might have a chance. We snatch defeat from victory against Cardiff and just don’t have enough against Cov. I thought Vaulks put a decent shift in but I was a bit concerned he might have pulled a muscle just before he went off. If so, injuries and suspensions are going to be difficult to cope with in the next two A point at Preston would be welcome and a must win against Dull.

Surely the stir will be complaining that he is jumping on the bandwagon!

I’ve not seen Cardiff but I’m anticipating a team similar to Millwall, which doesn’t bode well given how we struggled against them. However it doesn’t look like they’re in the greatest of form over the last 5/6 games. Our injury list could also be quite telling as well. I wonder if DR will be able to give any clearer updates on the likes of Iorfa, Pato, etc. So, the fans backing is going to be important as it always is and will be for the next few if we are depleted. Just need to keep behind them if we go behind like against QPR. I also suspect other teams will be starting to notice our recovery and whilst no team will ever rock up unprepared, I suspect the attitude of the opposition maybe a little more sharpened after our recent results. Id take a scruffy 1-0 now, but I have a feeling a 1-1 might be on the cards. A win would be

Another badly researched none story by the stir.

Had to leave early to go on a night out up in west yorks. So left on about 80mins. so basically missed our goals and apparently the best feeling in football coming from behind and a last minute winner. Still we won and another 3points. It’s a great result but the accumulation of injuries is getting worrying particularly as we head into the Xmas period. The lads are doing great but it’s going to make it difficult for DR if he can’t make changes.

On the whole I agree it’s only a tool in the coaches kit bag but our current head coach seems to take an interest in it.

Oh for 3pts tomorrow, the rest of the clubs in the league would seem so much more catchable with the games coming in the next few weeks. Mind you it would be so Wednesday to win tomorrow night and then choke in the home games.

I don’t go on stalk that often but ventured on to see if I could find an old pic I thought I’d seen on there previously. Anyway I saw this image which was quite interesting if not earth shattering which suggest we are in a worse position than on average our stats say we should be. On the same thread some also mentioned that if you add in the horrendous refereeing decisions we’ve been on the wrong end of we could be a few points better off. Now I’m not saying prior to DR rocking up it hasn’t been awful but maybe just maybe the averages might swing our way and we can creep out of the bottom 3.
