  1. Saw this on social media. Tbf it does have a big caveat attached to it. Id be surprised if some of the individual numbers are correct
  2. I was only able to watch the first 35mins yesterday and have since seen the highlights. Let’s face it (whether we like it or not) Ipswich put in one of the best performances we’ve seen this season against us. So, whilst once we were 3 down chins dropped but I also think every Ipswich player was at least a 9/10. These last two games were always going to tough, but the next 8 are the games we need to compete in and I think we need at least 5 wins or 15points to be sure to stay up, ie keep the points coming in at the rate that DR has managed to collect since he’s instilled his methods. I rate our likelihood/ chance of staying up at 40%, but that’s way better than it was in October. Did DR get his selection and tactics “wrong” well losing 6-0 would suggest so, but Ipswich playing like they did I think would have seen them win almost whatever he did, just may not conceding six. btw I wonder where they got that Australian midfielder he looked decent, would have slotted nicely in our team 😒
  3. As you might expect there’s an interview on the wireless with someone from the Liverpool blah blah group saying it’s a death trap blah blah, usual stuff. I mean I’d agree we would like to see it bulldozed and a new stand build but we aren’t in the PL with loads of money to spunk on a new stand. It should have been done when we were, but as those of us that have followed the club for some time will testify, some felt we spent more on trying to have “the Wembley of the north” than a decent football team. And to say it’s a death trap would imho mean many other older stadia are equally death traps. As we said at the time, no one should be scared for the safety at a football match in this day and age but those geordie chumps need to take a look at themselves. Even the loathsome L**ds lot of always to manage to find a space on the lower Leppings and the same goes for our dirty neighbours.
  4. MK what happened to the”Dirty” bit of their full formal name?! 😃
  5. They’re trying to get another record. Being SIX nil down by half time. I wonder if they’ll have it on their honours board 😂
  6. Famewo wasn’t offside, end of. Their defender was actually between Famewo and the goal. There were other Wednesday players potentially in offside positions but irrelevant. Even when Bannan fluffed that volley from Vaulks corner the Lino had his flag up before Vaulks touched it, not how offsides are officiated normally. Come on Wednesday keep this going.
  7. Very professional performance today. Played when we could and dug in when we needed. Ugbo took those goals like a proper seasoned striker. A shame about Bernard bc he’s been very good this season but at least he’s not injured and we have Iorfa and Famewo to come back. Play like we have been against Rotherham and we have a chance.
  8. Good to see many are apparently fit and fully participating in the training. Still no Pato though, although it’s hard to see where DR would use him now, other than as a bench utility player.
  9. I know what you are saying and the precedent would be unreal but do you doubt it happened and if I recall it correctly the ref spoke to their officials when it happened. However not a squeak out of Millwall since. It’s crackers, we did take action and have still been punished which is why it seems arse about face. Thats why I’m particularly unhappy about how we seem to be singled out and as I said at the time it feels like we were particularly highlighted when it’s happening all the time. Why should we be the scape goats for a societal issue. Just to be crystal clear I deplore what happened and despite some concerns I’d accept the club being punished if it was being consistently applied by all clubs and all the authorities but it isn’t.
  10. If only they’d realised earlier they might have got big Daz.
  11. I remember a guy called, err Eric someone who had been having a bad time in his home country…. Ill get my coat.
  12. I wonder if the same punishment will be given to Millwall after the racism levelled at Ugbo last weekend or the same against Mason Holgate, although that would be even more ridiculous. Of course not. However I also wonder if part of it (even if not explicitly stated) is their perception of the booing against Palmer and other seemingly racially inspired behaviour, even if it was untrue/ inaccurate is motivation for their judgement. Nobs.
  13. What do we think re Bannan and Poveda? Looked like Poveda pulled up when running, never a good sign and Bannan not sure.
  14. Gassama needs to give some cover to MJ or we could be dead and buried by 20mins in. DR is trying to give it a go. I take it from that Momo and Akin are not being risked, which makes sense. I’d rather have them for games where we have a better chance of getting some points.
  15. Millwall have been pretty good. First 25mins Millwall were excellent. Pen for Cov now
  16. If only we’d had Rohl from the start of the season, we might not be pushing top 6 but we’d be out of the bottom 3. Im certain if we can avoid relegation we’ll be much more of a force with this management team. Agree about the comments re transfers. Even some of the summer signings have started to look better, eg Pol, Gassama, Mussaba. I think Momo will get better with more game time and Delgado would be more effective with the coaching we have now. Who now’s if we stay up and it clicks with Poveda, he might come here permanently with one or two of the others. Lets hope we can do it.
  17. IF we are relegated Smith would be handy back in the pub league. I do like Gregory but I think his time is up re new contracts for next season whichever league we are in.
  18. And the same goes for fecking Mansfield.
  19. I’m assuming Poveda won’t be able to play against L**ds?
  20. But they got a new striker from the US so they’ll be ok, oh wait
  21. BTC and Gassama did very little for me tonight, although to be fair to Bailey he got absolutely no service. Ugbo was good and made some good runs and took up some good positions, he was unlucky not to get 3 goals. The tacticians will know if it’s better to have Ugbo as the centre forward instead of playing down the right of a 3 but maybe. I’d have Poveda playing behind Ugbo and then either Musaba or Gassam as the other striker because of their pace and trickery. Mussaba wasn’t on long but was better of the two tonight. My team for the Foxes would be Beadle Pol Bernard Famewo Johnson Vaulks Diaby Bannan Poveda Ugbo Mussaba
  22. But the Chairman has chosen all the January signings, so they can’t be any good, right?! Good performances by the majority of players, but I thought Gassama wasn’t as good as he has been and left MJ too exposed, which was how they got in quite a bit in the 1st half. Fair dos to Beadle much more confident looking tonight. I like the look of Poveda but he’s clearly lacking some fitness, but he could definitely be an asset once we get him fully fit. I feel for Ugbo not to get MoM, we don’t get many players scoring 2 in a game these days, so not to get MoM.
  23. I hope I’ll be eating humble pie later, but there’s no guile in that top 4. Yes lots of running and energy but poor decision making is what is limiting our goal scoring.
