I have an opinion - and I’ve seen enough to question the mental toughness and attitude of some players, including their will to win. Watch the play-off games v Sunderland again, if you want to see a prime example of what I mean.

I read a lot about players wanting to sign for him, and it’s clear that he has attracted some good players to the club. But why do they want to play for him? Is it: 1) Because he’s a hard task master, disciplinarian, kicks them up the arse if they don’t pull their weight and runs them into the ground, a la Howard Wilkinson? OR 2) Because he’s a nice bloke who goes easy on players, puts an arm around them and is happy at getting 80-90% out of them? One thing I will say about Wednesday sides of the last few years, is that we’ve had talented squads and individual players with a lot of ability, but we haven’t had the collective toughness, will to win or mental attitude of a Wilko side, and whilst I blame previous manager’s more than anyone or anything else for our mediocrity, I think that’s a further reason as to why we haven’t progressed on the field.

That’s part of the issue though. After today’s result it’s hard to argue he should go, but then the next match we may well go back to type and play well below today’s standard, set up in a manner none of us can work out, with players dropped for inexplicable reasons.

Our pressing game has been absolutely outstanding today. We’ve chased everything and not given their players a second on the ball. Very well played Wednesday!

After what happened at Peterborough I want him gone now. That Byers substitution was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I’ve run out of patience and I no longer have any confidence in his ability to take us forward. Hope he proves me wrong, but I doubt he will.

I’m still trying to get my head around the Byers substitution.

I’m sort of seeing it the other way chelters. I’m seeing the odd game or two when I think great, at last, Moore’s getting it now. And then the week after we look bog standard and Moore gets out thought by an opposition manager. I just can’t see it improving and I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong - as I’d love Moore to succeed. But I’ve seen enough now to stop looking through rose tinted specs and believing Moore will turn it around - he’s coming up short and isn’t, for me anyway now, the man to take us forward.

I don’t usually have a go at managers if I can help it, but I can’t back Moore anymore - every time we let a goal in it’s like deja vu. I know the sending off hasn’t helped, but we’ve been conceding goals in the same areas since the season started, and look no nearer to sorting it. I just don’t believe he has the tactical knowledge or skills required to take us forward. He’s got to go.

Time to earn your corn Darren and mix it up a bit. Can’t carry on like this.

Too much of him trying the Glenn Hoddle range of passes today, which rarely paid off. He’s still an automatic starter for me but I get what you’re saying, as we certainly have some strength and options in midfield that we haven’t had in recent seasons.

Substitutions definitely swung things our way.
