  1. Nail on head there pal. The only downer from the performance. We could have had a cricket score if our delivery was better. Apart from that, I’d say that’s as good as we’ve played this season.
  2. Really enjoyed that first-half. We dominated, held the ball well and looked to get forward quickly - exactly the type of football we should be playing all the time. Daren’t say much more, given how often we put in Jekyll and Hyde performances and look a totally different side second-half to how we’ve played first-half.
  3. So you think we deserved a 2-2 result and a point from the game then? That’s what it comes down to Fred. I don’t, I think we were very lucky. If the roles were reversed and we had surrendered a 2-0 lead against Ipswich today, with 15 minutes to go, there’d be outrage - not posts saying Ipswich deserved a point! And I’d go as far as to say that the performance of the officials today should be classed as null and void. They were shite for both sides. David Blunkett would have reffed better. If they were competent I doubt our second goal would have stood, although I’m yet to see it on tv. We got out of jail today, simple as that - and again I put us being outplayed down to the manager. We have (IMO, which is worth little if nowt admittedly) the best squad in this division, and we should be able to field the best XI of any club in the league - so why are we getting outplayed so often? I still go back to Peterborough away and that substitution of Byers a minute before half-time, would you say that was “football” or “managerial incompetence”? You won’t be surprised to know what I think!
  4. Good job you posted your last paragraph. 16 minutes to go we were 2-0 down. And just for the record, they might have had luck for their second but our second looked miles offside. Our tactics were shite all game, I couldn’t work out what system we were playing (or attempting to play). We push forward, then 30 or so yards from goal we stall, piss about with the ball, more often than not pass it back, or look to give it to Bannan who tries the Glenn Hoddle stuff. It’s predictable, it’s easy for teams to deal with and unless Bannan hits a worldy it’s ineffective. Last 15 minutes we threw caution and tactics to the wind and showed what we can do when we are “let off the leash” system formation wise. Stats might suggest this, that and the other - but with 20 minutes to go did you think we were going to get anything from the game? No, and neither did I, or those walking out of the ground. We were lucky to get a point and we 100% got out of jail today. Balls to suggesting there’s an agenda against Moore. I never call for the head of a manager as a rule, but you’d have to be blind if you thought Moore knew what he was doing tactics wise. We will not finish top 2 with him in charge - and given the squad we have, to finish outside of the top two is unacceptable.
  5. I don’t believe it! 😂 Suspicion of offside, but who cares?
  6. And another thing whilst I’m on a rant. Why is it, whether we get a throw-in or a free-kick, nobody seems to make a run for or make themselves immediately available for the ball?
  7. I’m sick to death of being totally frustrated watching what should comfortably be the best side in this division. And I’m even more frustrated at trying to work out WTF type of system we’re supposed to be playing almost every time I see us play. We are going nowhere under Moore! Even if we get something out of the game now it will be more down to luck and the ability of the players, than it will be us adopting the right tactics!
  8. I’ve just watched St. Helen’s v Salford in the Super League - a player from Salford was on the end of one hell of a (legal) tackle. Momentum of the tackling player hit him full on in the face, accidentally. He got up, obviously shaken, but played the ball immediately, then got running repairs on the pitch to his busted nose and lip, as the game went on. Then I look at that Ipswich fuck who has just gone down! And the refs fall for this shit.
  9. Pressing and harassing our back line - and it’s paying off for them.
  10. Apologies if already posted but not seen it. Should cheer Reesh up if nothing else. 😂
  11. Ridiculous suggestion! Imagine if the The Pigs were in the PL and they had players in the side? It would be the first time I’d ever want the South of England to beat the North of England at anything. And then there’s the supporters who do actually go. Two stands with the likes of Man Utd, L**ds and Liverpool supporters congregated together, with the other two having Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham supporters in it. It would be utter carnage!
  12. Just watched that training video. I made a post a couple of weeks or so ago, around Moore being able to attract players. I questioned whether one of the reasons might be because the players get an easy ride and don’t get pushed in training like, as an example, a Howard Wilkinson squad of players would. I think it was GermanBird who challenged me on it, asking if I’d got some insider knowledge on the post I made to back up my comments. Well, after seeing that video, there’s the evidence if that is what typifies a training session! I thought I was watching something from a holiday camp, not a professional football outfit. It was just a laugh and a big joke. Did any of those players even break a sweat?
  13. I’m not a royalist, yet The Queen’s passing has genuinely upset me. I didn’t think I’d feel as sad as this. She dedicated herself to and served her country with honour, pride and dignity. She was much loved by the nation and respected and admired worldwide. She was a constant and a reassurance to her people, and for me reflected what was still good about this country. She’s left a legacy that will be virtually impossible for any other royal to match. And to carry on serving the nation at 96, it just epitomises her dedication to her country and incredible work ethic. As I say, I’m not a royalist and didn’t expect to make a post like this following her passing - but she fully deserves the accolades, tributes, the respect and outpouring of love that we are seeing. She will be very much missed and she was absolutely right when she said “Grief is the price we pay for love”. RIP Ma’am
  14. I’ve wanted him out since Peterborough, since that stupid fucking substitution of Byers a minute before half-time. We can have one or two great results under DM and it brings false hope, in that you finally think he’s got it - but each and every time, as has been proven again today, we fall spectacularly on our arses and show ourselves up tactically. And that’s why I’ve no longer got the patience I once had for DM. He’s a lovely bloke, I like him as a person and everything, but as a manager he’s just not up to the task. We won’t go up automatically with him in charge - we just get found out too much and drop too many points because of it!
  15. What the fuck tactics are we trying to play? We look a complete mess. It’s like they’ve never played together before. No shape, no pattern of play - nothing! And why do we look so pedestrian?
  16. Not surprised - we’ve been shit. Can’t string two passes together!
  17. 32 years ago today! What a game. Remember it like yesterday.
  18. “Blackpool winger Josh Bowler is set to have a medical at Nottingham Forest ahead of a move to the Premier League outfit. It is understood Forest have agreed to pay around £4m for 23-year-old Bowler, who joined Blackpool from Everton in 2021. If the deal goes through, Bowler will become Forest’s 20th signing since their promotion to the Premier League. He came through Fulham’s academy, then joined Everton after spells with Aldershot and QPR.” If Blackpool now have a few bob to spend due to the above, we may well be finding out shortly if there’s any truth in them wanting Dele-Bashiru.
  19. This is how I see it. Byers gets subbed at Peterborough. It kicks off a bit between him and our Assistant Manager. Immediate conclusion drawn by press is that Byers will be unhappy because of it and therefore will want to leave SWFC. Press create the above fantasy scenario, then add more BS into the mix, next thing there are stories being published that clubs are now after him! Wankers!
