  1. I think DM has earned his keep for next season, but it has to be nothing short of automatic promotion. Anything less, unless he gets us up through the playoffs, then it’s adios mate! One thing I would like to know a bit more about, is what the actual fuck is happening at board level? Is there any direction coming from the top, because if there is it can’t be very much. I’m not overly interested in the operational side of things at the club (far cry from the DA days I know), but have we even had a statement from DC giving his thoughts about how our season ended and/or where we go from here? Piss poor if not!
  2. Mother-in-law passed away last year with it. A terrible illness. Watching my wife get so visibly upset seeing her mum gradually begin to forget who she was, it was absolutely heartbreaking and how my wife coped with it I’ll never know. She showed so much strength and dignity when visiting her, not to mention patience. She’d sit for hours with her showing her old photos, singing old songs from her past to her and gave her so much care and love, with very little love or emotion shown back to her. Dementia is one of those strange illnesses, in that it tends to effect loved ones more than it does the person with it. My heart goes out to Mick and his family. 😢
  3. I’ll never forget the scenes from that awful day. A terrible tragedy. RIP.
  4. Hate to say it but they were better than us over both legs. Absolutely fucking gutted though. Can’t believe another season in this fucking shit league!
  5. Love being a Wednesday supporter and wouldn’t swap it for the world. But fuck me, if anyone of us were married to a woman who put us through what SWFC does, most of us would be divorced (or dead) by now. I’m so glad, as someone from West Yorkshire, not to go down the usual route of being a Leeds (or even Barnsley) supporter. I’ve had some of the greatest moments of my life watching SWFC and I’ve met great people and formed lifelong friendships through supporting our great club. But it’s never easy being a SWFC supporter. We go through so many emotions, so many disappointments and this club never seems to make things easy for supporters. But then, every so often, things go right for us and we experience unparalleled joys - and all of a sudden everything is well in the world. Do SWFC piss me off - definitely! Do SWFC frustrate me - absolutely! But do SWFC give me some of the greatest moments and experiences of my life - 100% they do. And that’s why I love being a SWFC supporter! 😊👍🔵⚪️🔵⚪️🦉 UTO!
  6. I only watched the game on tv so didn’t have the view of him that you did, but he didn’t seem to be blowing out of his backside or struggling to keep up with the pace of the game from what I saw. I still think I’d like to see him start, in the hope that he makes an impact, rather than see him brought on because we are chasing the game. But if we do start with Berahino instead, then I hope we are set up in a way where he can get into the game, because for long periods it passed him by last night.
  7. He's been found - and has scored against The Dingles today! 😂
  8. I still think Sunderland started to tire towards the end and that we finished the game the stronger and fitter side - hopefully that transfers onto the pitch on Monday. Tactics we’re utter shite but that doesn’t matter now, as we rode our luck and came away with a scoreline which very much keeps us in the tie. Monday, start with Gregory and Windass, and if he’s fit switch Hunt for Palmer. Then play our usual game and let Sunderland find a way to stop us, not us try to reinvent the wheel. Our home form has been outstanding, and as the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! What I will say though is that we need to up our concentration, stay focused and don’t fuck about with the ball at the back when we have it. We switched off and gave a needless goal away v Portsmouth early on last week (we can’t do that on Monday) and we saw what Sam and BPF did yesterday, with us paying the ultimate price for Sam’s mistake. I’m confident though. We are a strong side at home and we have goals in us - and having Windass back is an added and welcome bonus!
  9. Definitely start with Gregory and Windass on Monday. Not happy that we’ve lost, but we are still very much in this tie, and it could, probably should, have been a much worse scoreline. Lots of beers in the fridge, so it would be rude not to sit back with a few of them now, relax, and get the heart rate down to something like normal. We never, ever do things the easy way do we? 😂
  10. After that performance I’ll happily take that scoreline. We couldn’t have argued if it had been 2 or 3 against us. Game on Monday, we won’t play like that again!
  11. I’m trying to take some positives out of this - and one is that Sunderland look fucked to me - a spent force. We are the stronger and fitter team in these final minutes. But BPF has just shown, as Sam did at the end of the first-half, that we are our own worst enemies!
  12. Come on Wednesday, put the fuckers under pressure - we could still nick something from this!
  13. Or maybe fucking not. What a night for Bannan to go missing and lose the ability to fucking pass the ball to a player in the same shirt!
