It's a non story that's come out of a puff piece on the i-news website. Sunderland have openly said that their next manager will be younger and more of a coach as they look to restructure the club so the i have looked around on who fits the bill. The only coach they're actually interested in is Will Still. They wanted him after they kicked out Mowbray but couldn't agree compo with Reims..

This 'entitled' bollocks is spreading. You've got Man City fans throwing teddies because the season ticket price has gone up and Chelsea supporters trust depicting the owners as clowns and writing open letters saying get out of the club. -
I don't think the FA realised the connotations when the new cross design was sold to them by Nike. They probably just thought it matched the cuffs. As for the bisexual flag Barton makes the resemblance to, surely that's more in line with the new German away kit.

International break weekend.....

Off to a localish derby tomorrow. Hucknall Town Vs Heanor. Been a bit tasty in the past and the fans aren't exactly friendly to each other either. -
THIS Fill Wembley with Espana 82 and Italia 90 kits instead
-
The Welsh kits are crap but it doesn't matter as I don't think we'll get there. The Scotland one is Adidas' nod to tartan but Score Draw have seen a massive uptake of the Euro 96 tartan shirt and the 78 World Cup shirt
-
As with all kits the governing body will have had to have signed off in it and would have been given several designs.

Then please don't post it on here, unless you preface it with 'heard some right bollocks yesterday'. -

Oh for god's sake. If you're looking for clicks and confirmation status you're better off posting this shit on Stalk. -

They will have done but deflated team, downward spiral, not enough games, tried my best yada yada yada. It's easy to do and still keep a reputation in tact. -

@Tewksbury Back when the Star did actual reporting. Here's a piece on the accounts after Chansiri's first year. https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/accounts-reveal-sheffield-wednesday-are-debt-free-459309 "The club closed the previous financial year with a net debt of £18,678,000 but following Chansiri's purchase, they closed on May 31 last year £563,000 in the black." "Loans of £1.5m and £2.0m taken out against the Hillsborough stadium were repaid in full on February 11, 2015. Another loan of £1.6m was split into two payments of £1.2m and £0.5m were also repaid." "A £4m debt amount owed to Chansiri was exchanged for an equal amount of newly issued shares on May 29, 2015." "The accounts reveal that the club is debt free following Chansiri's takeover, which was confirmed on February 26, 2015." But by all means keep on believing Dave in the pub and not the accounts signed off by the EFL and Companies House -

But did you believe it? As @mkowl says there are actual paper trails registered at companies house showing the borrowing and debt placed on the ground and therefore on the club. It's also noted in the takeover papers that DC settled these debts apart from, I think, the one that remains on the accounts as serviceable. I stand to be corrected on the last part. -

If I was Rowett I'd fuck them over, like they did to him, and take them down. -

Judging by social media I'd say 100% of 1867 are of the mindset 'anyone but' so they'd be screaming the moment the first tyre kicker went public that they were interested. They wouldn't comprehend if no one came forward as their mentality is we're a massive club with huge potential and not where we should be. They wouldn't care where the money came from to finance this and how much debt would be put on the club. This has all grown out of Adam Shaw getting his 15 mins on social media and local radio. Before him it was Erik Alonso. Prior to Chansiri it was Hafiz Mammadov, then we have Cloud 9 and countless others we've probably never been made aware of. -
I'll simplify my previous post. Munoz might have hammered them for fitness but it was the wrong type of fitness training. That's why we started blowing after 60-70 minutes. Nothing to do with a lack of pre season as we were still unfit in September and still only playing for 70 mins.
-
@Tewksbury when Rohl came in I posted about the difference between Munoz training regime and Rohl's and the main difference is volume. Munoz's pre session was disrupted by the massive heatwave and Rohl's probably would have been as well. In Spain he had them training at 11pm to try and beat the heat. Other teams changed their plans and went to Scandinavia and the Alps instead. But when the squad got back he'd decided to copy the zonal system he'd used at Watford. The physical training for zonal is completely different to the constant press with overlaps and quick beaks. It's akin to the difference between training for the 400m and 1500m. Zonal should be 10-15m shuttles to cover your area. Problem was the players were being overrun and having to cover more ground. That's why we were blowing out of our arses after 70mins and why Rohl had to rotate a bit while he got everyone up to the right levels. In all his early press conferences all he talks about is levels of fitness. When he got his hands on the data he must have cried. I would have done. If Rohl had arrived in early July then basic fitness training would have been different. Recruitment would have been different. It might not have seen much of a change in results in August but September would probably have been a lot different. There's no doubt we would have been fitter and wouldn't have faded in games.

2023/24 Wednesday transfer thread...
Tylluan replied to Southy_SWFC's topic in The Haigh and Wright Suite
Sports Interactive and EA put more analysis into their games than some clubs do. Their respective budgets are enormous and they don't just run algorithms they actually send 'scouts' out, especially in South America. -
The PL has done everything it can to give them a fighting chance. They're one point off safety and if they can't make that up then they deserve to go down. Their last 3 games are Pigs away, Chelsea home, Burnley away.

Stoke have enquired as to Warnock's availability and if he fancies stepping in til the end of the season. Birmingham are desperate for Mowbray to be back in the dug out after Easter -

Mr Dennett is from Lincoln and, curiously enough, lists himself as 'Midfielder at Sheffield Wednesday FC' on his Facebook profile. -

Anyone who calls himself K Dog deserves to be slapped mercilessly -
He'd have given Wilder a run for his money if they'd had got promoted last season. In fact he's got the right sized chip on his shoulder complex to be a future Sty custodian
-
Got more chance of it being Ronald McDonald. Fans are gonna go bat shit crazy when he changes the home kit to red and yellow hoops
-
Seriously??? He 'dropped' the ball and walked away smiling when it was a Coventry throw. It was Bidwell taking the throw otherwise Robins would probably have played the race card again.
