  1. And just in case the comeback is that they may be playing Championship football next season. Liam Dooley was pleased to announce that Shrewsbury's prices were frozen at 23/24 prices.
  2. Seeing as a lot of 1867's season ticket price gripe is that we might be playing in League 1 next season, Barnsley released their early bird prices today. They're fucking eye watering. £509 for their East Upper.
  3. Buying a season ticket is like buying a train ticket. You know you're going to go so you buy as quickly as possible to get the best price.
  4. EFL has to follow suit in the Championship as they already have similar in L1 and 2
  5. Hendrick's termination fee was the equivalent of what we were paying for his wages plus 10% Yeah, realised that about 10 mins after I'd written it but work got in the way of a retraction. Good job it's not Stalk or 1867 Twitter or be copping abuse for getting it wrong. Oh wait a minute. I forgot I'm banned on both
  6. Rohl was interviewed in late June, before Munoz, and was offered the job. The DFB refused to release him as Flick wanted to keep him and they were reluctant for a promising young coach to jump ship from the national team to the English 2nd division. That's why after Munoz there was no recruitment drive, no interviews, Rohl was placed straight in after sorting out his visa. As for the 'more experienced' managers that were on the list. Nathan Jones was interviewed but turned down. He was also turned down by several other clubs before being choice of last resort at Charlton. Dean Smith wanted his Norwich wages and to be able to carry on his 5,Live pundit work when we weren't playing. Bilic wanted to be the highest paid at the club. Bullen wasn't entertained as was no one that had been out of a job for 2.5 years, ruling the likes of Ince out. Then there was a few foreign managers touted like Iachini (wouldn't leave Italy) and Thorup (limited experience) Munoz was 'recommended' but his zonal defending and counter attacking style didn't suit the players already at the club, so he failed. But he did leave us with Pol, Musaba, Gassama, and Bernard. Delgado will probably fit the Rohl style when fit. The jury is still out on the two Diaby's but they're both loans
  7. To add a bit of clarity around the academy players bit. If they've already sat on an EFL game bench then they'll already be registered with the league to play. What we can't do after the deadline is field anyone who hasn't. So we couldn't play the new lad Otegbayo unless we put him in a match day squad before the 28th.
  8. @Jake and @bazapeps Would just like to venture a point of view that I don't think has been raised yet. Chansiri didn't get us relegated. The points deduction didn't help but in February we were out of the relegation zone. Pulis' disastrous run of defeats cost him his job so Chansiri acted quickly on that one to give us a chance. (Just to give context I fully backed Pulis appointment as I'd worked with him in the past and seen him coach) After the Blackburn win it was still in our hands with 3 games to go. I don't know how much influence Moore had while he had Covid but we set up wrong at Middlesbrough and tried to see 3/4s of a game out in total defence after taking an early lead. We were set up wrong for the Forest game when a win could have seen us only needing a draw at Derby. And we were safe until the 78th minute at Derby. But that was down to Moore bottling it and trying to protect the lead when Derby's heads and legs had gone after Borner's goal. Going more defensive allowed Derby to regroup. They had acres of room in midfield that allowed them to affect the penalty. As I've said, the 6 point deduction didn't help but our destiny was in the hands of our players and, more importantly, our coaching staff. Not Chansiri
  9. EFL 44.3. all squads must be finalised by 5pm of the 4th Thursday in March. You can't add to your squad after this, even if you have the spaces.
  10. @Jake here's what I posted on another thread in regard to Smith and Gregory in the January window. I was doing some outsourced analysis for several clubs during the window. Hope that clarifies why they're both still at the club.
  11. Rotherham won't turn up for the rest of this season. They know they're down and it's hard enough to lift anyone out of that mindset but add in the fact that Richardson has told players whether they're leaving or staying in a bid to get a shop window performance out of those going.
  12. Your point around his lack of delegation is extremely valid. He had a team at the beginning but Pearson and Roeder didn't last long. He then had Katrien Meire for about 2 mins. There's only been one constant and we all have the same idea on that relationship. As for the infrastructure. He changed the pitch, he upgraded the training ground as much as he could. He bought the pitches next door and upgraded those facilities. After that first season there was a momentum on the playing front and he invested heavily in that. I think only a few of us would have accepted and understood if he had switched the taps off player recruitment and upgraded the North and South stands or even started to knock down the West. The rest of our morons would have gone batshit crazy at the lack of strengthening. The Trust would probably have tried to get the West listed as a memorial to those who died. When it was mooted we might build a more modern stadium they got an ACV slapped on Hillsborough. The cheapest option and most future proof will always be to move. Luton's new 25,000 seater will cost roughly £80m but will have safe standing and the ability to build upwards. But that would mean moving away. Imagine the fury of the Muppets if Chansiri announced that. That's got to come from any new owner
  13. Our season isn't defined by tonight. We'll still be level on points with at least one other club come 5pm tomorrow
  14. He fires a few balls into the away end and MK's official supporters group starts crying and raising an official complaint. The same fans that were probably giving dog's abuse out to Wimbledon players throughout the game.
  15. Thanks for the answer but it's not what I asked. So I'll ask again. What price do you think it should be for an adult ticket for a Yorkshire derby game?
  16. Club's full backing? WTF??? I know there's innocent until proven guilty but it's on body-cam isn't it.
  17. Purely a footballing decision according to that story but if he's still without a club in September (not that I think he will be) and we're struggling for cover then I'd expect him back
  18. Hull also have a massive presence in football mad Turkey and a growing fanbase in neighbouring countries due to their media mogul owner
  19. Changed his agent at the beginning of December because his old one was being a dick with the club. The situation has thawed considerably and he'll sign a two year extension before the season ends. However, whether he's still at the club in September remains to be seen. There's a rumour he's only re-signing so the club get a bigger transfer fee and not just the academy fee.
  20. If I was you I'd clear your cache out. That's an interesting combination that's popped up on the Temu ad at the bottom of your screenshot
  21. That's cost them over a grand. Someone is bankrolling this cos they've not got a bean between them
  22. Did plod move it on? It's no parking on match days
