  1. The PL constitution says something like the final league placings have to be voted on and ratified at the AGM. So technically they can move teams around as long as it's voted on.
  2. Everton's next case to be heard early April, along with Forest. With the appeals process it might take until the Premier League AGM, four days after the season finishes, to find out who's relegated.
  3. Caught the back end of the post match on 5Live and think John Murray is still wanking himself off over it. Must have mentioned "treble" about 3 times in as many minutes. Then to cap it off they had Heckingbottom as 'expert' summariser. I use the word expert extremely loosely.
  4. Rochdale chairman has called an EGM for March 7th. His open letter is interesting. Basically if you don't agree the motion to create more shares then we're fucked but we might still fucked anyway https://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/news/2024/february/noticeofegm_070324/
  5. It's still a yes unless you dodge the stewards and run on the pitch.
  6. Completely agree on this one. Clubs should pick up the place money and nothing else. If they've got a massive wage bill then it's fire sale time or you're savvy enough to clauses in contracts. Or they could do what the EFL does and every club in the division gets the same amount. Either way cutting off the parachute payments would stop clubs like the pigs borrowing on the future payments or Leicester gambling on going straight back up and using the payments to still pay PL wages

  8. We won't sign him now as he's not played since last season and not trained since last July but there has to be something behind him being here, if Indeed he is. He's a free agent so we could put him on a, court verdict dependant, pre-nup if he continues to train with us. He'd be a cracking player in the Championship for zero outlay
  9. The two points above are extremely relevant in any defense.
  10. Yellow in Thai culture symbolises King or benevolent father figure. It often worn on Father's Day in Thailand. And if I was Leeds I'd turn up in last season's yellow away kit.
  11. @Tank_Owl2,0 we've been done on (social media) video evidence of which there probably wasn't any of whatever happened at Millwall and I don't think Ugbo went at the ref like Palmer and the rest of Cov did. Maybe that's our player's fault for not doing so. Vaulks would have been well within the current remit to drop the ball and walk onto the pitch when he got hit taking the throw and that is on film. But to be fair to Millwall they have been done on mobile photo footage before and actively encourage fans to shop those around them for anti social behaviour via phone footage (if it's safe to do so)
  12. I enjoy non league. I've been to Alfreton a couple of times this season and if I want proper pub football then Basford Utd is 10 mins walk away.
  13. Could be a Mason Greenwood situation, from a football point of view. He trains with us, away from Germany, and if he's somehow available to play next season then he'd be a good signing
  14. l.kâI can't see what more the FA/EFL is expecting the club to have done to have negated the possibility of this happening. We must have had the EFL/SAG regulated number of stewards and support staff in the relevant places, in fact we probably had more in situ as was documented when a couple of Newcastle fans cried. Yet the club is being held culpable for the actions of one, maybe two, individual(s) when the police are dealing with the legality of a hate crime. Hillsborough is classed as a place of public accommodation, in that you pay to get in, theatres, cinemas, music venues, etc Al are all in the same classification yet you don't see those venues being done for failure to control. What we should be doing, when we're found guilty, is ask the panel what more could we have done and will those recommendations be sent out to all clubs. Get the response documented
  15. He (or his agent) might see his future elsewhere but unless he wants to go to Turkey nobody appears to be keeping tabs on him. Apart from a few, pre Christmas, intermittent hits by a couple of independents only Antalyaspor seems to be regularly dipping into his full Opti reports.
  16. @Tewksbury I think it was more around you saying we wouldn't be able to attract a younger creative midfielder and that Chansiri wouldn't pay for one while Bannan was here. It's disparaging towards the coaching team that they wouldn't be able to do that and Bannan is quite aware of his future position within the club. He's on record many times as saying he wants to finish his career here in whatever capacity
  17. QPR brokered a deal with the EFL to pay their last FFP breach fine off over a period of 10 years. They've missed at least the last 2 payments and have missed a 4 week deadline to pay up. they should be picking up a 10 point deduction for that alone. The new, possible, FFP breach might not come in until next season
  18. Everton have released their 24/25 prices. Cheapest adult ticket is in their family enclosure at £555, up £40 on this season.
  19. I think, and hope, that if Bannan is given an extension it will be ironed out that he'll be there to act as an impact/back-up. I can't see DR relying heavily on a 35 year old playmaker who has trouble keeping shape sometimes
  20. What do you expect with Michael Beale in charge
  21. Wife has been teaching for 25 years in the same inner city comp and is a HoD. She's also an external exam marker. She regularly says that it's the kids on the spectrum that actually want to learn but mainstream schooling puts a lot of barriers in their way. Short notice room and teacher changes being a couple. But get them into a rhythm and they shine. The kids she gets really pissed off with are the ones who believe they're entitled and the parents who feed it. The ones who are intelligent enough to try and use every hashtag virtue signalling trend they find on TikTok but won't apply that intelligence to class work. The ones who can't be arsed in class cos they've signed blue forms with Forest or Leicester and they know they're going to make it. The ones who think they'll just make it on social media cos they've got 'personality and looks' so don't need exams. These are the kids who end up not being able to hold down a zero hour contract at Sports Direct or can't hack the pressure of McDonald's at lunchtime. But you can't tell them that because that would be crushing their dream and stifling their creativity. But she still has to put the effort in. She has to listen to parents shouting that the school hasn't done enough when their kid has fucked up. She's the one who has to put up with the allegations of 'miss hates me, she's always picking on me' which now have to be investigated if a parent makes a complaint. Her academy trust has a 35% turnover of teachers leaving the profession within 5 years of starting. University does not set you up to be a teacher which is why there's all these adverts trying to entice over 40s into teaching. The only ones sticking it out are those who've been in the job 20-30 years or more because they're looking at their pension. But the system is fucked when they leave.
  22. Forest Green have signed Richard Keogh until the end of the season with the option for another year
  23. Andre Breitenreiter been appointed new Huddersfield boss. Been out work for a year. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68312298
