  1. Work with a Birmingham fan who's shitting himself. They were expecting an easy game but he says they've never won a game against a team with a new manager
  2. Charlton have put an offer in front of Bakinson. Seems Jones likes him and sees him as a useful squad addition
  3. The problem is where our released players think they should be. Johnson will still think he's good enough for the Championship. Bannan will too or top end L1, unless he heads back to Scotland. Wilks will hope someone higher than L2 takes a gamble, as will Dawson, and Bakinson is in negotiations to move to Charlton.
  4. Moore didn't fancy Brennan when he was here so I can't see him bringing him in to Port Vale. James could possibly go, even if it's just for regular football, but that's about it.
  5. That would be stooping to their level when their commercial dept sold out of Richie Barker "I was there" and "lightning strikes twice" Darren Garner t-shirts
  6. This is Southgate we're talking about. Rashford and Grealish will be in the squad.
  7. Got a lot to do with the size of his shopping list for next season and how much it would have cost 'uncle Tony' Toytowners better get used to a good few seasons in League 1 as the cheque book will be used sparingly
  8. Yep. Apparently top of Moore's list. There were rumours he'd already lined up a house in Wetherby as Leeds had a few Spanish speaking lads and we didn't at that time About to be sacked by Santos for fitness and performance issues (and also they can't afford his now halved wages) something Beale accused him of at Rangers
  9. Be interesting to see which 'better club's he goes to as only QPR were stats monitoring, before his injury. 21/22 he was on a shop window loan at Hull, as Man Utd had made their mind up on him. Hull didn't want to buy him and neither did anyone else. 22/23 and they couldn't get him out on loan in August. He went on a loan to buy at Portsmouth in January but they didn't want him either and he didn't want L1 as his 'stepping stone' 23/24 and he had no other concrete offers apart from ours. Without us he'd have been trial hopping as an unregistered player. He might have to adjust his attitude next season. Coming from Chelsea's and Man Utd's youth set ups doesn't give you jack all in the free agent market
  10. The fact that we offered so many (thanks for getting us promoted) extensions and brought James in from Blackpool suggests that was the plan all along. Moore was never going to be the man to rip that team apart and go with youth. That's why there was all this talk about the plans were already in place and agreed on. Couldn't do that without a load of pre-agreements and/or a fair amount of tapping up.
  11. If we're in L1 then a Championship club will pick him up but if we're still in the Championship and he thinks he can get regular football at a lower end Prem or top end Championship club then he needs a reality check on why we were the only ones to offer him a contract this season and a one year at that
  12. Anybody picking anyone from that list, apart from Vaulks and Bernard, regardless of which division we're in isn't building for the future. If we're in L1 then we have to follow the Ipswich route and go young, fast, and agile. There are players in there, spread of a lot of clubs, that could gel together and compete in the Championship. Not give Palmer, Iorfa, Bannan, Johnson etc another just to get us out then have to start the rebuild when the prices go up
  13. https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/li-tie-everton-footballer-jailed-match-fixing-china/ I can't remember him either.
  14. If he's off to the MSL then he probably won't want to get hurt. Their transfer window reopens early July and he can go straight into playing.
  15. Hope those seriously hurt pull through ok.
  16. But we're not playing a Peterborough team who thought they only had to rock up and then couldn't handle the pressure. We're playing a team still threatened with relegation and a team who've not secured the playoffs yet. Then Sunderland might have last day flip flops on but they're at home. I'm not being defeatist, just realistic in how each game should be approached
  17. It's either 4-3-3 or more likely Palmer drops into the back 3 to allow Pol and Johnson to bomb on. That's the only reason I can think for Johnson coming straight back in as Pedersen hasn't looked too bad when he's been on but is more a solid full back than wing back
  18. Be interesting to see who we bring in. Goalkeeper coach is such a niche area nowadays. There's an extra module for working with young keepers, to take into account growing bone structure and mental development, that it's almost become a separate entity. You can't just throw the job at an ex player, like what used to happen. There are plenty of good youth keeper coaches out there but they're specialists you've probably never heard of. Maybe our current good standing as an academy may sway other coaches like it's swayed other academy players Another factor is the Germans are way ahead of us in this area, just saying.
  19. Had she been watching Mike Bassett? Quoting poetry in a press conference. On a serious note a workplace victimisation lawyer would have a field day with the FA's response, whether Eidevall flagged it or not. As he says in his press conference, everything he does is recorded.
  20. They still owe for Brewster and may have to sell Ahmedhodzic to pay the remaining debt off.
  21. Just looking back at his injury record and he had on off hamstring and calf issues at Blackpool last season, especially around March/April time. Play a couple, miss a couple, and it didn't help that Blackpool brought him back in too soon and he lasted about 20 mins in last game before being sent back to Leeds for treatment.
