  1. They still owe for Brewster and may have to sell Ahmedhodzic to pay the remaining debt off.
  2. Just looking back at his injury record and he had on off hamstring and calf issues at Blackpool last season, especially around March/April time. Play a couple, miss a couple, and it didn't help that Blackpool brought him back in too soon and he lasted about 20 mins in last game before being sent back to Leeds for treatment.
  3. Me too. He doesn't suffer fools and has the tools to deal with them without DC's perceived meltdowns and rants. I'd have loved to have seen his response to the Nevs if he'd been in charge. There'd probably be a load of writs against some of the stuff written on other forums.
  4. Would you have him in charge if he was the front for a consortium with a bit of cash behind it
  5. I worked it out as 3-4-3 when they came on but the shape is all over. I now think it's some kind of 3-2-2-2-1 or 3-2-3-2 or basically whatever shape Norwich wants to put us in. First time I've seriously lost faith in Rohl and his backroom over an ability to read an opposition.
  6. This. You only have to look at how much ground Norwich covered on Saturday to know their style and how they overload through midfield. I genuinely think Rohl tried to counter it by having the attacking 'threat' on the pitch but when you don't have the ball you don't have the threat
  7. I'd have Hodge or Bolder over Pressman. If we're talking recent then where's Semedo?
  8. That silver shirt looked better when FMC did it as they stuck the Umbro badge on. Used to be able to get decent Puma replicas online with the 'cat' on them but they were from Australia, I think.
  9. Didn't want to hijack the match thread but seeing as there are already a few posts about it... Who would you take out and who would be the replacements?
  10. Where's Spiksley and Quixall? Bloody Chansiri not respecting our history. I'm off to buy a yellow balloon
  11. Technically they can if the rise in non club affiliated coaching set ups continues to rise. Young players are already getting scouted and signed by these companies to sell on to clubs so easy to set up a draft around this system. What could happen sooner though is an IPL type draft within transfer windows.
  12. I don't know mate. Someone I know at the uni says there's a possibility that a joint venture may be on the table, from the university side, as the NCSEM is split across several sites, including Graves Park and Concord, and they want to centralise the whole thing. Even though Sheffield is the only national sports med unit outside of London the relevant bodies won't fully pay for one central venue so the uni are looking for partners.
  13. The Premier League voted at its AGM last summer to introduce new rules to fast-track financial breaches - such as happened with Everton and Forest - but those new rules were introduced after Leicester had been relegated, and so don't apply to them. They're currently going through the old process and will pick up their sanction, if there is to be one, at the beginning of next season.
  14. He wants the first team to move away from Middlewood. I've been told we've already sounded out a partnership with Sheffield Uni's sport science department and the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (Sheffield) but we're looking for other training facilities or land to build on. He also wants the pre-season in Germany and not the usual warm weather jolly in Portugal.
  15. Special EFL hearing. Ipswich fans have complained that Saturday's ref's mum's best mates aunty Vi (not real aunty, just lived next door) supports Leeds and their dog was born in Leicester
  16. This. Bannan in a middle two again. FFS if Poveda is fit enough to start then drop Bannan for Vaulks, play two grafters in the middle and let Poveda and Windass run around and cause problems. It's not rocket science Danny.
  17. Nothing lower than someone pretending to be disabled. It's his 'carer' that unfolds the flag. Fucking scum 435602384_938555850985221_3090659021782418445_n.mp4
  18. Yes. Don't know how vocal their away support is but that's another 800 voices behind their team when the game possibly defines both club's season.
  19. I can imagine our fanbase if we'd released a director's statement like this. https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2024/april/update-from-the-board-050424/?fbclid=IwAR3NxXrSMCvjL5NkYpE5z7v8FGUegwvTTdpywz35zV8F0_th_M9cIqKokIU our analysis shows that performance levels over the course of the campaign have merited a much better league position they do clearly show that our performances have been good enough to earn a league position significantly better than the 16th place we currently find ourselves in, The metrics also show that our performance levels haven't changed significantly over the season.
  20. Even TalkSport wouldn't take him on a regular contract
  21. Archie Gray is only 18 but broke through this season and there's now a £40m price tag on him as Arsenal, Leverkusen, and Bayern begin to circle. If Crew is managed in the same way then I expect the same.
  22. I can imagine the meltdown now if we took an 18 year old on loan from Leeds with no first team experience. Crew is shining at the moment for their U18s but has only made the first team bench because of injuries, in particular to Ilia Gruev. Farke has said in today's pre-match that he's not ready for a start yet. At the moment he stands out because he's bossing u18 games against the likes of Millwall (watch how much room they give him in centre mid on a showreel on X). If Leeds go up, the plan is for him to spend a full season in their 21s in PL2, interspersed with first team training. Personally I'd follow that and if he's still shining against the likes of Liverpool and both Manchester clubs then loan him out in January. If we're looking at Leeds for possible loans then I'd certainly look at Sam Greenwood, currently at Boro. Boro won't be buying him but he won't be in Leeds plans as Farke doesn't fancy him. But, if you want a Crew type player who's already done a full season of first team football then I'd take a punt on Charlie Savage, if we could get a fire sale out of Reading. Portsmouth and Peterborough nibbled during January and he's attracting interest from the championship.
  23. Starting with. Surprise surprise but Warne wants to take Viktor Johansson from Rotherham but faces competition from the pigs. Johansson has one year left but a release clause of around £500k. Rotherham are hoping for a bidding war, especially as Johansson looks likely to be named in the Championship squad of the season. Joe Wildsmith's contract is up at the end of the season and has attracted Championship interest. However there's a whisper he may be off to Man City as 3rd choice if Scott Carson moves into coaching. City will look to fulfill Carson's spot with another English keeper to keep within their homegrown quota
  24. I've posted previously, on another thread, that Leam Richardson has already told his squad who he's letting go and who he wants to stay and it's not done them much good. If the majority of our out of contract players think they'll get a move to another championship club then they're sorely mistaken and L1 and L2 clubs cut their cloth accordingly. A lot of lower clubs do place an onus on attitude towards the back end of the season and if they see a player becoming disinterested in a relegation fight then they will think twice. I've no doubt it's easier to have a mindset of 'where's my next contract' at this time but it's also what players pay agents for and these agents should be earning their money not only looking for clubs but telling their client to put a shift in. I'm sure no agent wants to try and 'sell' his player to another club when his Opti stats have dropped 10-15% in the last few games.
