4-2 at the moment and going 2nd Probably a better result given that means Ipswich have to keep winning. Ipswich needing a win against Huddersfield is better for us in the event we fail to get anything against West Brom. The goal difference could swing our way that day after seeing how they fell apart against Swansea

Discount Stoke and QPR from that list Blackburn need one more point and they're all but safe. 50 points will easily be enough Absolutely no way Huddersfield or Birmingham will win their last 2 games to get the 6 points required to trouble the 50 point teams. Especially with Huddersfields' goal difference

Dreadful game of football so far Two very poor teams playing. I cannot believe this is the same Blackburn Rovers side that put in a very good performance against us at Hillsborough earlier this season. Attacking play is non existant. Our defence is terrified of playing the ball forward. I think the Liam Palmer effort was the only attempt after they equalised.

RIP Bricat Enjoy having a few beers up there with CDLF

Thought the one year was what he requested?

Only a 2 point deduction for buying players and then not bothering to pay monies owed for them They've got off lightly Not much of a deterrent that. Were the panel Leicester City supporters?

Will the Owls warn off the Canaries?

Coming back from 2 down against a side who should have been out of sight, will hopefully bring a bit of confidence going to the next match at home to Stoke. Special mention to Paterson who changed the game. Worked his socks off to help drag us a vital point. -

A goal from a set piece without Bannan taking it! -
I'll never forget Dads words for this match. We went to this game with him and a school friend of his. Sat in the leppings lane end in the lower tier and were at the side Neville Southall was warming up. Oh no, not Nev in goal his words were. Both adults then went on a memory trip of what a fantastic goalkeeper Neville Southall was and one of, if not, the best goalkeeper in the 80s. He didn't play that well, but neither did the Everton team. Even with Mike Walker in, they were struggling and looked a side low on confidence. 5-1 flattered them from memory. We should have scored a lot more Remember one fan in that end telling Southall to give up and get his crutchets after we made it 2-0. Also the 'Down with United' chants we sang at them. I was certain they would be relegated and couldn't believe it when they survived. Then I saw the Match of the Day highlights and Hans Segers' goalkeeping masterclass

Doncaster got another win I see, beating Wrexham 1-0. The thought of being on that Welcome to Wrexham documentary next season is as bad as having to play in that Johnstones Paint Trophy again. Seen Stockport and Mansfield are 1st and 2nd in that division. Not surprised at that, given both sides completely outplayed a "championship" team away this season.

Quite a few fans that were banned used to go to the host of where Wednesday were playing but never went to the match. As an example, a chap called Paul used to come with us on some away journeys but never attended the game whilst his sons did. He just found a pub and stayed there for the duration of the game. We'd then catch up with him after the game before heading back to Sheffield. Ricky may have been like that. Happily sit in a pub near where Wednesday are playing and wait there till the game finished. Then head back with away fans to Yorkshire.

I assume we're also getting the blame for that Newcastle supporter spitting at the players when we took a 1-0 lead.

Makes a change from blaming Conservative Brexit voters for everything

"But Mummy, but mummy, but mummy - I only threw a pool ball because I found it so nasty that those Leeds fans dared celebrate their victory at Hillsborough. Had they not celebrated their goals, it wouldn't have happened". Seriously, what the fuck goes in someones braincell to think throwing pool or snooker balls at opposition fans would be funny?

I remember Paddy Kenny used to goad us a lot when he played for United. The Hillsborough crowd gave him grief and he gave it back. All good humoured banter Same when Benik Afobe returned to Hillsborough with Wolves. He scored from the penalty and gave the crowd a bit of jip. He got the reaction he wanted. I remember he actually tweeted about it saying he enjoyed the to and fro with Wednesday fans after we beat them 4-1. Part and parcel of the game. If fans cannot take it, well kindly fuck off and find something else to do. No justification for acting like little wankers over that mean player celebrating.

I'm struggling to remember if this is the same Ricky or not Derby County away when they beat us 1-0 under Brian Laws (90th minute winner). We were in a pub not far from their ground and a Ricky comes in saying there's an even better pub to go to in the city centre. We decide to follow him there as apparently a karaoke or something like that was about to happen. Well it was a pretty crap pub to be fair and no karaoke so we walked out after one drink and headed back to where we were. Word got round that around 15 minutes after we left, Derbys' firm arrived in that pub and beat the crap out of him and a small minority of Wednesday fans that stayed. Quite glad we moved on

Think you cannot underestimate the impact the Huddersfield thrashing had on the team. Pretty certain there was words exchanged afterwards, which seemed to be taken the correct way.
