  1. Given Top Gear went as well Could the BBC kindly ask Paddy McGuinness to start making regular appearances on Mrs Brown's Boys
  2. Whilst some of the performance was ok, defensively we looked like an accident waiting to happen. 3-1 may seem harsh but it could easily have been 5 or 6. Barnes missed 2 absolute sitters in the first half Plus they were a little more clinical compared to us. They would have converted that header Paterson headed straight at the keeper, which would have made it 3-2 and a little more interesting. The side is getting better. Under the previous manager, that would have been a thrashing Oh and Will Vaulks' performances since Rohl came in have been excellent. Again, he played well tonight and currently is the first name on the team sheet.
  3. That is a dreadful goal to concede there Dawson is going to get a hammering from the fans for that
  4. Very fortunate they messed up that free header there. Diaby and Ihekwe in no mans land Since the equaliser, we could easily have conceded 3. Barnes missed an absolute sitter with that chance where he chipped it over. It would be harsh if that did happen Who on earth scouted Diaby by the way?
  5. That's a fantastic goal saving block there from Paterson
  6. Rhodes was on a downfall before we signed him. Paul Lambert and Aitor Karanka ruined him with the style of football that they wanted to play. That season when Lambert took over at Blackburn, he only scored 2 goals (one a pen) from November until he departed for Middlesbrough for 11 million. Then at Middlesbrough, he never really got a run of games despite getting 6 goals in their promotion season. In the PL they took Negredo on loan which all but ended his stay there. Plus, he needed a partner in the mould of Novak or Gestede. We possibly had that with Nuhiu Winnalls career at Hillsborough was over the moment he had that bust up at the training ground with that ************
  7. Think we deserved the draw given their attitude reminded me of our performance against Forest Green last season. They thought they could just turn up and win, which wasn't the case. That or Vardy begged them not to go gung ho on us to keep the score down? This side under Rohl can compete now, compared to what was being witnessed under the previous manager. Although the fitness levels are alarming to say the least for the championship. You cannot blame Rohl for that mind Hopefully this stalls a bit of confidence going forward for the remainder of the season. Vaulks was probably man of the match
  8. That should have been 2-0 there, what a balls up that was
  9. Some fans have been moaning about the tactic but there's nothing wrong with this 4-3-3/4-5-1 There's a lack of confidence in this team big time. Its so evident that the summers recruitment and managerial appointment has been a disaster
  10. 2 players there with the freedom of the penalty box Poor defending
  11. Just get our players to theatrically fall over a Birmingham player on the grass in the penalty box and we'll get a penalty or two
  12. From memory, he was all set to sign for Cardiff City who were becoming big spenders under Sam Hamann, but we came in with an offer and he ended up signing for us instead. Missing out on Mclaren, they went and signed Graham Kavanagh from Stoke Wasn't a dreadful player from memory but suffered from the losing mentality within the club.
  13. That was as funny and cringeworthy as Saxons world record air guitar attempt in the same season
  14. The likes of Bromby, Geary, Haslam, Beevers, Spurr, Quinn and Hamshaw will probably agree with you on this one.
  15. Without being disrespectful but if you think the WBA game was an improvement, that's a little concerning We were absolutely shocking in that game. It was only 1-0 because West Bromwich Albion treated it like a training game after taking the lead. Had they bothered to get out of 2nd gear (if they got to that), it would have been 3 or 4-0. 28% possession, 1 wayward shot in the 2nd half when we were trailing, it was awful. Worse than any of the games watched under Tony Pulis, Alan Irvine or Jos Luhakay
  16. I actually remember this. Only two pundits when they did the prediction time there went for Wednesday. The two that went for us on MOTD were Trevor Brooking and Ray Stubbs. Alan Hansen went for Manchester United.
  17. Sorry but that is not on Dawson, he had the most touches because purely everytime he played it out, it came straight back to him. Then when looking for a player, they just stood still not wanting the ball. It happens so often when we're losing, none of the players seem to want the ball therefore just give it back to the keeper or just look uninterested and not attempt to find space or help out a player etc. Vasquez would have suffered the same if he was in goal Its why I absolutely hate the playing out of the back. Our defenders are not good at playing out from the back yet we still do it. Then when one of the midfielders comes to help, looks up and sees everyone just standing still being marked, off the ball goes back from the midfielder to the keeper. I blame football in general for this. Why this style of play has somehow taken on, I have no idea.
  18. Well that second half was just rubbish. 2-0 down and I reckon the player who had the most touches that 2nd half was Dawson. Xisco has completely destroyed this team. I feel for Rohl and Powell as the rebuilding job they have is arguably the biggest rebuilding job this club has had. So many players have had football trained out of them by Xisco and his staff. Byers as an example was useless tonight and there's no way he's a bad player. The training, the tactics, the style of play, everything that was coached in the first few months of this season and pre-season has made this side a team that would struggle in league two. Fitness levels are dreadful for this division The new signings as well, I cannot believe they have improved the team at all, they've made the team worse. Diaby is an accident waiting to happen, Valentin is pretty poor and the two wingers are very raw. Hendrick and Buckley were panic loans. I'm unsure if he'll have the time to do it, especially if Mr Chairman still thinks we should get promoted. This side has more chance of getting promoted as I do of beating Scottie Scheffler at matchplay. There's also the patience of the fans given if the side isn't playing gung ho attacking football, there'd be fans demanding him to be sacked. What a mess, throw the towel in. No way is this team recovering from the damage that has been done
  19. Awful news to wake up to yesterday. It only felt like yesterday when I thought I was going to get squashed at Leyton Orient from a giant hug that was let's just say, influenced by the Special Oasis. If you've ever met him and he's on that, you know you'll have some great company for the day. Not just that, bowling nights, golf days and some of the bands he'd discover are a great listen on his radio show. Devastated for him, for Hollie, for Janice and for Charlie. He doesn't deserve to go this way at all.
