Made a point of tuning into Sky Sports for Ref Watch.

Spent forever on City FFP and Casemiro, eventually went down the leagues and "We're running out of time but a quick word on the Plymouth v Wednesday"

Gregory was offside (he wasn't) as long as they get to the right decision (they didn't) it doesn't matter how long it takes. Totally ignored the presenters question of em using the their screen.

Dunno why they bother with Gallagher as he contradicts himself over every decision but always backs the officials.

He wasn't interfering or touched the ball so not offside.

He was stood offside he was offside, I agree he didn't interfere with play but you said he wasn't offside but he was.

It was an interesting one because at the ground - right side of the Kop - Gregory is further away from the keeper. The camera position foreshortens his proximity, the fan cam behind the goal is the best

So old school that is offside but what we don't want is offside being given - like it used to be - if Gregory was 20 yards away from the direction the ball was travelling

Modern "interpretation" or called making up this bollocks as they go along its debatable

So I am not annoyed that it was disallowed on technical grounds more how the ref and lino came to make their decision and the time taken

And like many others why VAR is detrimental to the spontaneity of football and serves a purpose purely for the armchair supporters

The keeper immediately started pointing and complaining but that’s what keepers do after every goal

Gregory did look a little sheepish and didn’t go crazy celebrating like all the other players - maybe he was worried that he was offside and/or interfering

Sad news that the Argyle keeper will miss the rest of the season. He's the best keeper in the league for me.

I thought he looked fairly average until he went off, felt we might have nicked one of them back passes. Not sure if I'm being unduly harsh, but I thought he could have done better with the goal too

I am not sure Windass as any blame - having seen the incident it was a fair challenge for the ball. A bit of contact but its usually the keeper doing that to the striker and never given as a foul that way round

Can they sign another goalkeeper?

Looked on Wikipedia and the only other keeper in the first team squad is the guy who came on on Saturday.

Not sure about rules re emergency signings, especially outwith the transfer window. Would any newbie have to be a free agent?

He’s interfering in my opinion. He prevents the keeper making a genuine attempt to save it as he’s stood in the path of a dive

There's no way on this planet that the keeper was getting even near to that shot. That behind the net clip shows all you need to know.

Agreed. Very salty from the Plymouth manager though saying Windass' challenge wasn't the best. Other than going for the ball, I can't see what else he did. Looked like the keeper fell awkwardly.

Or is their manager saying, Windass shouldn't have even challenged?

Thought it was line of sight, hardly clear obstruction if he's 6 yards away

Green on green

Well it does, it’s right down past away end loads queuing up no coppers. Just a few lobbing hands about if it was Wednesday more would be going off considering who was out Saturday.

Also, was only a yard or 2 away

Try a pic from behind the net.

It was a goal, bent ***** disallowed it by using VAR and still got it wrong IMO, thought we'd learn from the Brighton play off not to show goals until the restart. Officials at Hillsborough cant be trusted.

What happened against Brighton? Other than an incredible win and an incredible light show by the fans, I can't recall any controversy.

It wasn’t controversial as I recall. Just a goal rightly disallowed.

could be very wrong though but it doesn’t stand out

I brought that up the other day and have since watched it back.

Westwood booted it forward towards Hooper, while Forestieri was stood miles offside.

Hooper went to flick it on and made no contact,  Forestieri ran on and smashed it home.

The goal was given, the Brighton players got the officials to watch the replay on the screen and then they disallowed it. Correct decision but the wrong way to get to it.

Saturday was the wrong way to get to it and was still the wrong decision
