  1. It contrasts but is it a plan or just their turn in the cycle? I try to put D.C. into context I guess.. if am not comparing against previous years then if I view in isolation? In isolation I would say he’s a c grade owner who was once b+. Now this season antics and performance may see me down ground him to a D .. or an F. If am comparing to other clubs their 92 to choose from and even more during his time. Using the likes of Brentford is ok I guess - but for every Brentford theirs a Wigan or Oldham..
  2. Almost always have .. but look at average during the successful championship run and we had not seen that since the early 90’s that my point! And guess what! Chief criticism first full season under D.C.??? People priced out!! That’s my point. p.s. 100% economically times were different for many but so we’re costs of running a football club.
  3. Trust me I think this is a mess! Trust me I am also worried. I also don’t think it a totally lost cause under D.C. continued ownership. Am annoyed about the statement because I think their plenty of Wednesday fans who were neutral on him and I think a different start to the season we wouldn’t either be discussing this! This new group were/are a reflection on current societal debate thanks to the last 10 years of fuckwittery of political debate IMHO. There was NO major protest tonight - yes loads of apathy! I am dreading another season in league 1 because you know what I’ll be their! I am fed up of the “priced” out masses .. not because I think the prices are fair .. I think they are too high also BUT the stats show it’s a bloody myth! People pay when the smell of success exists not just because we are playing a game on a Saturday and it’s £24! I’d be supportive of huge reset under Chansiri these next few weeks - it should be led by the engagement panel who should come together NOW and make representation asap! BUT I also think Chansiri could sell ASAP and want these so called groups to step up and get the deal done! I can’t see it working for Munoz but if I take Chansiri words he ain’t going anywhere soon - BUT as a friend pointed out if selling a house your touch it up before selling it! So you never know but who comes in when the owner said he ain’t investing! Re 8 years of Chansiri I benchmark it against the previous - factor in during that time we were almost wound up! Yo Yo’d between leagues .. and mid table at best then I look at his time! Better attendances Highest league finishes Records fees paid Dealing with NEW FFP rules Dealing with Covid Record breaking season Plenty of drama for sure and more off field than on! But as long as the owner doesn’t truly pull the plug we are more stable financially in football terms (highly dependent on his wealth- yes!) than the previous 8 on average! And if sold I see no different a set up financially tbh! I don’t want him gone for some of the reason I see online - but if he’s going it should be quick now surely if Shaw and others trying to buy us!
  4. Would seem they done something against the rules on X - wonder what that was.. got to be hard given Musk recent behaviiua Or pigs in disguise and their work is done? or Shaw wrapped them up because DC willing to deal? or they are suspects in a police case involving rumoured death threats to the owner Or they forgot the password and locked themselves out lol
  5. Seen a similar written letter like this as well on a different subject. 1867 group using their social media savvy alla the social media farms in Belarus to stir up crap.
  6. Less black balloons than tennis balls and then this Protest south stand come on Chansiri put the ball back in play and get investing
  7. So extra investment is not happening now. No point shouting for a new manager anymore as he’s sticking with Munoz as I’d argue that would represent investment at this stage. He’s not going to let the club come to harm regards being wound up based on that statement - he’s just not putting extra money in. Early bird prices about to go up. Protesters have won! He’s on his way but he needs a buyer still. He promised to give it to a buyer who meets his criteria - most seller do that tbf. If Shaw is genuine he needs to get the cash together now! But there are loads and loads of buyers out there am told.. so no need to panic .. Got a feeling wee going to win tonight!
  8. Fair points. Human rights v responsibilities and the weighting of this is suspect whilst having common ground we may significantly diverge also lol I guess regards Chansiri do we honestly think we’ve crossed the Rubicon now - I still think an upsurge in results will dampen down the anger and whilst I think the base of anti Chansiri as grown it’s not the majority of the base is my guess. Why does anyone own a football club ultimately from abroad? I’ve always held him to us word it’s something he wanted to pass to his family. FFP rules screwed Chansiri in the first 3 years. Splashing the cash, innovative sponsorship injections and ultimately the ground sale are options now all dried up. Sustainable running of the club involves pricing, extra events (being planned), wage controls, success on the pitch and cup runs. It also involves having a talent production system that can be recycled generating revenue via selling players. Rehabilitation of old and young players is part of that. If you look over 8 years fine. But I think the second part of his ownership is more about the paragraph directly above - and that only started post covid restriction being lifted.
  9. And the overwhelming reception to that statement was that it was a touch of class. Non of the saltiness shown towards us by McCabe and Wilder if I recall. Throw in a little revisionism and it’s being painted negatively.
  10. I think you have a valid point in your definition and to be fair it’s one I could get my head around. I just can’t help but think it more sinister for some who use it! Maybe that’s more reflection of my feelings towards the current state of things outside football than those who are using at s6
  11. Please explain to me what “we want our Wednesday back” actually means? When did we have it please? What does it look like if we get it back?
  12. Yes but that was linked to the Hillsborough disaster as much as luck if I recall correctly
  13. I get the point but AB raises a great point - did we really have momentum? We had to pull out the bag an almighty comeback to get to Wembley and then we were pretty much outplayed by 10 men for most of the game! The overwhelming lack of outrage from the fan base when DM was removed shows that we all feared we would struggle under his leadership.
  14. See you are almost making the point of many of here who are not anti Chansiri! a) relegation was bloody painful but it as enabled to us to get the house in some form order (In Football terms!) b) it would seem that D.C. did want to give DM a chance but the two could not align on a few core beliefs. c) Chansiri as opted for route that involves a Young manager with some championship credentials (Ipswich fans were not impressed with their manager to begin with) d) transfer policy as been one augmenting existing team with young potential and players in need of rehabilitation - NOT a major splurge due to previous learnings! e) it’s currently failing because Munoz gone for a revolutionary approach of evolutionary and maybe not have ability DC hoped he’d have! Now in one breath fans say DC chops and changes too often (which I dispute) and in another we want Munoz out after 8 league games and 3 months in the club! if you ignore the decision on match day prices - which whilst killing our walk up- does seem to be maximising the revenue from away followings currently .. other than the odd rant the only other thing Chansiri anger is being fuelled on his past mistakes AND quite frankly the mis telling of some of those old so called mistakes!
  15. As we attempt to drum Chansiri out of the club … the pigs remain on the open market valued between 90-150 million? They have a guaranteed income stream for 3 years?? Or is it 4 now with parachute payments. Chansiri doesn’t want to sell .. but could be forced if his losses could be recouped .. so around about 100 to 150 million. If people want to buy Wednesday for 50 million great - means nothing if Chansiri doesn’t want to sell at that price (why would he) and if they can’t afford more they ain’t rich enough. Seen a tweet from Scunthorpe chairman doing rounds today where he said let the club die. The stupid thing is the only thing stopping Chansiri spending is the FFP rules! The system is broken and we want to blame our owner for that system!
  16. Know his face, know the Mexborough lot well - very sad he was not that old either
  17. It was .. Bates went Leeds and jacked the prices up… ironically.
  18. How people see it?? The protest identified his nationality on purpose! They have done the right thing adjusting it! The fact they went there in the first place is worrying - and I’ve given them the benefit of doubt. I don’t currently feel there is a need for protest against the owner. Am close to calling for a new manager though!
  19. Honestly I recall the enthusiasms when DC took over especially the pre-season friendly to Thailand and how many of us were going to have to convince our other halves to let us go lol We've gone from that to possibly targeting an entire country population saying your not welcome at S6. I KNOW THAT IS NOT INTENTION BUT!! If they read this and stalk (I’ve been posting there again about this) - they need a re-think and issue a statement asap!
  20. So in essence we’ve had 2 direct action attempts - Bin Bags & Tennis Balls. After their first failed effort and the second efforts negative response they put the next set of actions to a vote. They then settled on 4 ideas and balloons topped it but then they researched it and introduced the unlucky Thai colour. Making it an attack on the owners culture origins as a way of driving him out.
  21. Green and black balloons now - because their unlucky colours in Thai culture. One of the podcast stirring up the pot as someone had their season ticket under review due to a joke about elephants - suspect the joke involves damaging company property. Am fine with the whole business decision debate. He’s got it wrong / I hate the results / he damaging our club. I understand the desire to protest these or not. I can get the current anger on results - jeez am feeling it as well! But the attacks on his culture, the references have been their since day 1 to be fair but now are being mainstreamed via protest are for me are at least beneath us as a club. If DC ownership was one great exercise of sports-washing then I put that under a different category when you come to highlight cultural differences - depending how it’s done of course. In essence we are trying to drive out a foreign owner by attacking his culture. I maybe accused of hyperbole here but that’s my take on it! p.s. cultural debates exist at clubs owned by western and eastern owned clubs as well.
  22. Penalty right in front of me - soft yes, but he did grab him. No complaints .. well not about that incident anyway. Awful to watch today - but we can’t afford to ditch him without a man lined up to take over as I don’t think we have the luxury of allowing us to drift under a caretaker whilst Hillsborough implodes.
