Some of the usual head to head guff.....

Our record V Leicester City is as follows

Wednesday wins 42

Leicester City wins 40

Draws 28

Last time at S6 v The Foxes

It's almost ten years since we last played against the Foxes at S6 according to Soccerbase, and it just doesn't seem that long ago... But.. It must be!

Connor Wickham bagged a brace as Wednesday came from behind, to win 2-1 at Hillsborough.

The Officials for the game.

Referee: SAM BARROTT
Assistants: Jonathan Hunt and Blake Antrobus
Fourth Official : Carl Brook

Sam Barrott has already officiated at S6 this season, the 0-3 loss to Sunderland. Where he cautioned 2 players, both on our side, Bambo Diaby and Juan Delgado.

Mr Barrott's record so far reads....

13 games officiated

51 Yellow cards shown

2 red cards shown.

Got to go with this team and formation tonight.  Definitely no Diaby.

                      Vasquez

           Iorfa    Ihiekwe    Bernard

Palmer                                             Johnson

                   Vaulks     Byers

                          Bannan

               Musaba           Smith or Gregory

Was tempted to start Cadamarteri up top with Musaba and have the exuberance of youth.

If that's 4-5-1 then it's a waste of Bailey's assets and a big ask of him to play up top on his own. If it's 4-3-3 then it's Pato and Johnson up with him so why not Musaba and Pato or even Wilkes who's not even on the bench and I thought looked busy on Saturday.

Apart from the fact we should be 5-1 up and they should be down to 10 men I quite enjoyed that half. DR has got us creating chances at least.

Interesting that challenge. You can bet the other way round the ref would have rushed out the red card.

Well that was a pleasant surprise.  Was thinking that the positives were that we didn’t fold, and we kept plugging away.  It’s clear that the players believe in Röhl.  We just need more reasons to believe in some of them.  That was a start. Hopefully Hendrick’s anaemic displays after he first came here were down to lack of match fitness, and the goal is a sign of better to come.  A point against the best team in the division is something to hang our hats on, a reason to believe for a little while longer.
