You probably would struggle to accommodate Foden and Palmer in the same starting 11. More about how you balance the type of player you have, not their talent of course.

Isn't that what Pep said to him though?

You're a great player but if you want first team football this season you're going to have to do it somewhere else.

Basically that, I am sure Pep might question himself for 5 minutes at times, but perhaps Palmer can turn it on for Chelsea with not a lot riding on it. Would he be trusted v Real Madrid in the last 8 of the Champions League, that is what Pep considers

We’ve got an embarrassment of riches in attacking areas.

Conceivably, we could play Rice and Bellingham in a two. And then line up Foden, Palmer and Saka behind Kane.

The two players, who at the minute, are most at risk are probably Rashford and Grealish. Bowen and Gordon have really had good seasons in terms of numbers. Maddison will go too.

This would be ideal.

I love watching Grealish play, he's one of my favourite players, but he should be nowhere near given the ability/form of the others at the minute.

This is Southgate we're talking about. Rashford and Grealish will be in the squad.

I would rather have Grealish in the squad than Maddison.   Would also take Bowen in front of Maddison.
