  1. The AHA points are drying up a little. For the second game running it’s just a single yellow. Vaulks was the recipient v Huddersfield, and it puts him clear at the top. Will Vaulks 6 Callum Paterson 5 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Josh Windass 4 Pol Valentin 4 Bambo Diaby 3 Liam Palmer 3 Jeff Hendrick 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Di’shon Bernard 1 George Byers 1 Cameron Dawson 1 Akin Famewo 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  2. Just a single point from our visit to West Brom. Palmer’s booking brings him to within two points of the leaders. Callum Paterson 5 Will Vaulks 5 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Josh Windass 4 Pol Valentin 4 Bambo Diaby 3 Liam Palmer 3 Jeff Hendrick 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Di’shon Bernard 1 George Byers 1 Cameron Dawson 1 Akin Famewo 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  3. Quite a few around us - Kop end of the North; and some green ones too.
  4. Where to start? Players had zero confidence in the first half; they’d just gone. First goal was all down to the fannying about at the back, and then Vasquez surely should have done better from the corner. We’re conceding so easily from corners - it wasn’t like it was anything special they tried. Is it down to the zonal marking? Second half was a little better, but let’s face it Sunderland had pretty much declared, and still looked more likely to add to their lead than we did to get one back. The manager has got to go, he seems to be clueless. Nearly a quarter into the season and can anyone really tell what he’s trying to do?
  5. Well at least this is ticking along nicely. Three points for Bambo Diaby v Sunderland; two for conceding the penalty, one for his second half booking. Delgado also got a yellow card. Callum Paterson 5 Will Vaulks 5 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Josh Windass 4 Pol Valentin 4 Bambo Diaby 3 Jeff Hendrick 2 Liam Palmer 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Di’shon Bernard 1 George Byers 1 Cameron Dawson 1 Akin Famewo 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  6. Three points for Valentin for his conceded penalty and accompanying yellow card at Swansea. It moves him to within a point of the leaders. There was also a booking for Hendrick. Callum Paterson 5 Will Vaulks 5 Lee Gregory 4 Josh Windass 4 Pol Valentin 4 Juan Delgado 3 Jeff Hendrick 2 Liam Palmer 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Di’shon Bernard 1 George Byers 1 Cameron Dawson 1 Akin Famewo 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  7. I’m not really seeing any positives from that I’m afraid. Decent first half, but my God Middlesbrough were shocking; and we somehow let them dominate the second half. It still seems so far off there being an obvious coherent plan of how we’re supposed to be playing. And those last subs - smacked of just a case of just trying something random and hoping it paid off.
  8. Another point - who hoo. Musaba’s opener got us it v Middlesbrough. It gets him two points in Meaningful Goals. it puts him top of both tables. Who Got Us The Points Anthony Musaba 1 Di’shon Bernard 0.2 Bambo Diaby 0.2 Akin Famewo 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Juan Delgado 0.1 Dominic Iorfa 0.05 Calum Paterson 0.05 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 4 Juan Delgado 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1
  9. Yellows for Windass and Byers v Middlesbrough. Callum Paterson 5 Will Vaulks 5 Lee Gregory 4 Josh Windass 4 Juan Delgado 3 Liam Palmer 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Di’shon Bernard 1 George Byers 1 Cameron Dawson 1 Akin Famewo 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Michael Smith 1 Pol Valentin 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  10. Bizarre logic. No one wanted to do the bag a seat thing, which showed us that Wednesdayites were up for a protest. Dickheads.
  11. I thought it was the other way round. Truly awful first half, much improved after the break (although still very poor).
  12. A fifth yellow card for Paterson sees him move alongside Vaulks at the top of the table. There were also yellows for Famewo and Hendrick v Ipswich. Callum Paterson 5 Will Vaulks 5 Lee Gregory 4 Juan Delgado 3 Josh Windass 3 Liam Palmer 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Di’shon Bernard 1 Cameron Dawson 1 Akin Famewo 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Michael Smith 1 Pol Valentin 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  13. What an awful game that was. I think it’s right up there amongst my all time worse.
  14. Yellows for Delgado and Windass at Leeds. Will Vaulks 5 Lee Gregory 4 Callum Paterson 4 Juan Delgado 3 Josh Windass 3 Liam Palmer 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Di’shon Bernard 1 Cameron Dawson 1 Michael Smith 1 Pol Valentin 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  15. And we’re off. Our point at Leeds was down to our clean sheet. With a 5-4-1 in operation that means 0.2 points for the keeper and the three centre halves, and 0.1 for the wing back. With Iorfa coming on (just) before the cut off point, he and Paterson share the spoils for the right wing back slot. Who Got Us The Points Di’shon Bernard 0.2 Bambo Diaby 0.2 Akin Famewo 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Juan Delgado 0.1 Dominic Iorfa 0.05 Calum Paterson 0.05 Meaningful Goals Juan Delgado 2 Anthony Musaba 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1
  16. What were the positional changes when Iorfa came on for Gregory? Irofa to wing back, and Paterson further forward?
  17. Musaba’s first Wednesday goal gets him two points in Meaningful Goals as it put us in the lead v Mansfield. Meaningful Goals Juan Delgado 2 Anthony Musaba 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1
  18. Vaulks’ missed penalty v Mansfield puts him top of the table. Palmer also missed from 12 yards to enter this year’s race. There were yellows for Bakinson and Smith Will Vaulks 5 Lee Gregory 4 Callum Paterson 4 Juan Delgado 2 Liam Palmer 2 Josh Windass 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Di’shon Bernard 1 Cameron Dawson 1 Michael Smith 1 Pol Valentin 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  19. The one consolation of a shit season is that are are usually plenty of Alan Harper points, and so far that’s the case, with another hatful at Cardiff. Vaulks leads the way with his two for conceding the penalty, and there were yellows for Bannan, Bernard, Delgado, Paterson, and Windass. Lee Gregory 4 Callum Paterson 4 Will Vaulks 3 Juan Delgado 2 Josh Windass 2 Barry Bannan 1 Di’shon Bernard 1 Cameron Dawson 1 Pol Valentin 1 Devis Vasquez 1
  20. Still nothing onto the main table. Bannan gets a point in the secondary table for his equaliser at Cardiff. Meaningful Goals Juan Delgado 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1
