owl4ever1867
Just my opinion but they were lucky it was just 6 minutes injury time considering their keeper was time wasting from minute 1....
Ozzie
Considering the antics of the keeper in both legs. His position as Palmer was slotting the ball in was justification.
Owling_Wolf
The third goal was a cracking team goal, too. The surging run and pass, the classic stepover, the rest just brilliant by James, like he'd been a striker all his life. And the sheer urgency on his face as he runs back. Moore did some job inspiring those lads to perform like that for over two hours. We crushed the life out of 'boro.
HarrySpeakup
I loved James' reaction too - I thought he was surprised by the stepover and didn't quite control it properly and just managed to toe poke it under the keeper I also loved Dawson's reaction to their goal - no sulking or head in hands - just got the ball straight out of the goal and got the ball back up for the kick off Back to the 4th goal - Palmer is on his way up but isn't even anywhere near the box when Vaulks is drying the ball with the towel. If he hadn't have dried the ball - like John Pearson was shouting - Palmer definitely wouldn't have scored
holmesfield_owl
Tell you what thinking back to first game (and yes I know) he should have saved the first), the point blank save Dawson made at 4-0 down was massive now looking back, plus he was excellent on Thursday.
Tank_Owl2,0
Re the playoffs more generally - how often since the start have the top two qualifying teams in each division been in the final, haven’t checked but it seems an irregular occurrence. Here’s hoping in our league at least the team highest placed get promoted.
TheExile
It’s certainly shown the strength of being at home second. Had we been at home first I bet we’d have put 2 past them and called it a day

JBO
Spoke to a former Barnsley player today who lives on my round Said he spoke the Peterborough assistant manager (another ex Barnsley player) the night after in the golf club. Asked if they turned up thinking they were through, He said none of the staff did but they felt they couldn't get it through to the players who he thinks had the wrong mindset. He asked why they kept JCH on when he'd been atrocious - "for the penalty shoot out"

Whereas on our side it was the coaches that changed the mentality
