As well as that going to be multi ball and no towels for long throws

Will make absolutely no difference to time taken for throw ins. Players will just use their shirts like they used to do and still stand still pretending to look for a team mate or about to throw it then changing their minds.

They'll be putting a clock on it next. 20 secs for a throw in and 30 for a free kick (once ref has indicated he's ready) there'll be a countdown on the big screen and everyone can join in

Will multi ball be compulsory?

It was a fiasco when we tried it a few years ago.  And it will be next time.

It's the various balls placed on cones round the pitch - like the Premier League had. Seemed to work OK.

Simple rule change would be max 30 seconds to take a goal kick after the ball goes out and from the side it goes out, similar for a corner and 20 seconds for a throw. Bring back the 6 second rule for goalies

Might leave before 5pm on a 3pm ko

It’s not getting the game restarted quickly that was the problem. It’s when the ball goes in the crowd (happens quite often), play restarts with a ball taken from a cone, and then the original ball is thrown onto the pitch by someone in the crowd. It happened so often when we trialled multi-ball before that we soon scrapped the idea. I can’t see how it’ll not happen again in future.

Multi-ball doesn’t work when the crowd is close to the pitch as at Hillsborough. It’s fine at the LL end when the lower level is empty, or when a stand is closed for an unattractive cup game. Regular games, nope.

It's still there in Law 12.

Also says players should be cautioned for deliberately disrupting the restart of the game.

It's why keepers fall onto the floor after gathering the ball so they're not in a position to restart.

But that should technically still count towards the 6 seconds though. As you say, the law is still there it just isn't enforced. Even if going to the floor avoids a booking, they'd soon stop doing it if free kicks were awarded.

There's an interpretation footnote that says keepers are allowed to make sure they're safe before resuming play. It's supposed to stop opposition players standing over or near a keeper on the floor and counting 6 seconds to get the free kick. But, technically speaking, that player could get carded for preventing play

You're not meant to stop the game unless the 'original' ball thrown back onto the pitch has a material effect on play.

Therefore, unless some smart git chucks it into the heart of the box at a corner kick or the goalkeeper gets distracted by a stray ball in his eyeline, just leave the fucker there. Treat it like a balloon and punt it when the actual match ball is up the other end.

We could also arrest the supporters who deliberately act like pricks by doing the deliberate ball chuck in the first place!

Wigan have quietly let it be known they will listen to offers for anyone still under contract but the players might beat them to it as the whole first team squad are looking to invoke breach of contract and there may be a mass exodus on July 1st.

The EFL are shitting themselves that they may have another Bury on their hands, if things aren't resolved soon, and this may see a quicker push through of change of ownership. The EFL will then hide under the table and hope the new owners aren't as bad as the last two.

There's only Thelo Aasgaard I'd take out of their squad. 21 year old athletic attacking midfielder with a good passing range and can shoot from distance

From champions of league one to winding up order in one season 😩😩 and people slag Chansiri off 🙄🙄

The key for Chansiri is ensuring he does not make the same financial mistakes and grasps the FFP rules not only have to be adhered to under League rules but actually make a lot of ruddy sense

Can't imagine this has been rushed at all...

EFL response. He's local and already part owns the rugby league club so must be a good lad. Sign it off.

However some locals are thinking he's stepped in purely to make a profit when he sells it again in a year's time.

Could it be that he’s just after the ground?
Move the rugby club in and force/price the football club out?
