  1. Similar to those begging for Red Bull, but who lost their minds when the stripes changed width and he used a different badge.
  2. I find it ironic that one of the accusations chucked at Chansiri is he frequently posts long rambling statements, bringing up issues of the past that should be left alone…
  3. My first thought on the fitness issue is always that the players are professionals and as such are responsible for maintaining their level of fitness, regardless of what training is being provided by the club. But is that actually fair? Or is it likely that club micromanage their fitness/running/gym work etc so they can’t just go off and do what they want away from the club?
  4. Talking to one of neighbours yesterday who’s a QPR fan, he came out with a right stat. There are 5 teams that have won more matches at Loftus Road than QPR this calendar year 😂
  5. Of course we would, I just don’t see it as very likely that he has such a huge change of heart/approach without some influence from elsewhere. It doesn’t even seem like he’s just climbed down a little bit and got Röhl, he’s gone all in with the staff too. Going to be interesting to watch it all unfold.
  6. Trouble is with that you look a bit of a **** when you turn up back at the park asking if anyone wants to play
  7. The last week or so suggests a complete change of approach. What I don’t understand is how that’s come about so soon after DC’s last statement. Statements like that aren’t, or shouldn’t be, made lightly. If he’s so willing to make a statement like that then he must have been committed to it. Which leads me to think that whatever has changed is from outside the club. Either new “advisors” or it’s a precursor to a change of ownership.
  8. Thought he was Italian reading that second sentence.
  9. “Wednesday are now looking to become the second Championship side in seven seasons, after Bolton in 2017-18, to avoid relegation having won three points or fewer in their opening 11 games.” How many times in the last seven seasons have a team had 3 points or fewer? Can’t have happened that many times. The way they’ve written makes it sound like there’s loads and only Bolton have managed to stay up.
  10. He had back to back knee injures whilst at Everton and has struggled to get a deal since. I read an interesting article about him on BBC website a few weeks since. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66918026.amp
  11. So Xisco was brought in as the “but he’s not Darren Moore” buffer, if it works great, it probably won’t so we’ll give him a short term contract let him take the flak then replace him with our real long term first choice in October who will be seen as a saviour compared to the last bloke who was in. Expert PR from Chansiri has to be said.
  12. Almost embarrassing for them to come to a side with form like ours and spend the second half time wasting. Speaking of embarrassing, James really showed how ridiculous Xisco had been in having him nowhere near the side. A really good performance from him, Vaulks and Bernard. Well, “really good” in the context of our season anyway. A platform to build on, but we were crying out for some pace in to the second half. Thought Wilks might provide it but he was pretty ineffective when he came on. Although he was hard to done to when he had beaten their man down the left but harshly given a foul.
  13. I get the argument that “skills” wise he may be exactly what we need. But we’re not talking about just taking on any old ex-United manager. This bloke has sneered and jibed at Wednesday throughout his whole career. It’s not Adkins or Jokanovic we’re on about here, it’s the very embodiment of that club. How many times have you heard him tell that story about being last off the bus at Hillsborough to wind folk up, telling David Wagner in his press conference he’ll give him to tips to beat us in the playoff semi, he’s spent his whole career hating us and making no secret about it. It’s a principle thing for me, and he - along with the likes of Billy Sharp, Chris Morgan, Michael Brown etc are the line you don’t cross. I’d sooner go down with Xisco than stay up with Warnock.
  14. But is Chansiri going to receive that message? He only thinks in the extreme short term and he only thinks about money. His ticket pricing policy shows this. He’s not bothered about how his policy today affects attendances in 5/10 years time. Given that there’s going to be hardly any home tickets sold due to cost/performance, he’s already got his money this year whether 20,000 turn up or 2 - so a boycott will barely even register with him. The worry now is that his expected price rise in January, continued shit performances and threatening of fans puts season ticket holders off, and they find something better to do on a Saturday afternoon and never return.
  15. I saw a similar one last week that used some of the same language that is in today’s statement. What good have you done for the club etc. that made me think it could be true.
  16. Yeah think it told XM to fuck off back to Spain.
  17. Presume hell be bringing his bin bags tennis balls green and black balloons with him then
  18. I think that’s a fair post MK. Although they’re looking at things about his culture, I think it’s more about trying to get an understanding of what makes him tick, how and why he makes decisions, and on that basis what action will have the biggest impact.
  19. Put back 24 hours… from 3pm to 1pm the following day 🤔
  20. I think the feeling round here on Colin was that he was only ever kept on this summer to give them time to find the right long-term manager (if there is such a thing) whilst all the takeover stuff was going on. Now that they have presumably identified their long-term manager they’ve asked him to step aside and he’s agreed. I suppose in that way Milan was similar to Colin, we knew he wasn’t here for the long haul. He’d just picked us up in a shit situation, straightened us out and was waiting to move us on to the person he thought could take us to that next level. Part of his success I think was managing expectation. DC seems to take the opposite approach.
