England carried on where they left off in Rawalpindi this morning. Harry Brook was the first Englishman to hit six 4s in an over in Test cricket yesterday. This morning he broke his own record with 6-4-4-4-4-3. Just hit one straight down deep square leg’s throat the ball after bringing up his 150. Cracking effort all round after a difficult lead up to the match.

Glad we’ve got VAR to clear up all these dodgy decisions.

Famewo played for the 21s too. No idea how he got on.

It’s not the booking in the match that’s the issue, it’s risking a suspension for two before the quarter finals(?). I’m all for them making a stand for causes they believe in, but they’re footballers first and in the main that has to take priority.

For someone who doesn’t really want to talk about it he has done an awful lot of writing about it.

I don’t see why he would stay really. I can’t imagine he’ll be too impressed with how much he’s played this year, and surely that’s not going to improve if we go up.

Social media has given so many people a false sense of importance IMO. Look how many numpties have YouTube channels, blogs, podcasts or “branded” Twitter/Instagram pages and think that that makes them an expert on their particular subject. I agree with the post further up about everything being tribal. There seems this way of thinking that someone/something is either 100% good or 100% bad. I think that means people lose their ability to consider what their own thoughts are on a subject and they just follow which ever politician/pundit/presenter they “follow” believes.

They were only there for the Champions League final though.

I hope that if it does go ahead and the top 6 teams in this country join it, that we see a return to a more competitive domestic league system where on opening day every team feels they have a genuine chance of winning a trophy rather than classing mid-table as success. That would probably come at the cost of quality as money drains from the league, but I’d rather see a season full of close, poorer quality games than see Man City win 6-0 every other week with a bench that would qualify for the Champions League itself.

I’d agree with you if the batter had been out of her ground as the bowler entered her delivery stride, but the only reason she was out of her ground was because the ball wasn’t bowled and she was looking at the strikers end. She wasn’t trying to gain an advantage.
