  1. 5 wins Owling, 50 points. Should be enough, a couple of draws on top nails it IMO. TBH I said a few weeks back that I thought 48-51 would be needed but I really do think it will be 50 minimum now. The threshold is going to be higher to stay up as Rotherham have collected so few points.
  2. Well, last 6, we've got 12 pts. QPR have 13 so you have a bit of a point. Millwall however have 6 so not a strong argument.
  3. A win against Plymouth gets us within 2 points of them. They have 6 of the bottom 8 to play.
  4. 40% win record. From where we were when he took over that is outstanding!
  5. Given the geography it's a decent average for Plymouth.
  6. Remarkable stat Coventry have failed to beat Preston in their last 21 meetings, a run going back to 2007
  7. Great win. Still against us, so to speak. 3 points gained against today's opponents, Huddersfield, Stoke & Swansea. 2 points against Blackburn. Here's to a few more game days that reel in and hopefully overtake others. Yes QPR and Birmingham (mackem bottlers) doesn't help but we JUST need 4th bottom. Next 3 games are all winnable but can we? It's going to go to the wire this fellas!! BELIEVE UTO
  8. Agreed re GD. Jan 1st we were 3rd bottom and 3 points behind Huddersfield with only a goal difference of -1 compared to them. 4 points from 6 games since has certainly set us back. BUT we've played 3 x top six sides since. The 4-0 at Huddersfield was a nightmare though. The run in gives us chances but I do feel that even now we need other results to help us significantly. Looks like 48-51 points might be needed. A tall ask but you never know!! UTO
  9. The Nil conceded is a huge confidence boost. After a being right against it first 15 the goal was at the right time and so well worked. We don't help ourselves with blind passes that are no where near on the half turn, in our own half from central positions to wide areas, but TBF that was more first half and it certainly seems that we benefitted from a good HT team talk. BC wasn't in the game really and I felt for him, almost nothing to feet, but having said that I'm not sure he's a player to take it to feet with back to goal. We worked the wide areas well and IP looks a good signing as does Ugbo. There's still a gap but as has been said tonight was must win and we did, without conceding. The run in throws up more good fixtures than bad. We likely need 22-25 points to stay up from 15 games, not undoable. All challenge yes, but it's all about momentum. Today was the start. UTO
  10. I've a feeling that if no January window existed we'd be better off. It was expected he bring players in and he wanted to obviously and in some respects but has the squad been strengthened? this has unsettled things somewhat. I know injuries happen but he has U23 players training with the first team. For me all the good work of Nov and Dec and the team togetherness has diminished. Better to have seen the season out blooding younger players than bringing in loans. I hope I need to eat my words, but doubt it! UTO
  11. Agreed. DR first window with his/his backroom teams decisions/input. Those that have left the club, there's no probs really, it's always transitional. Have we bettered the squad, likely we have but now it's down to the coaching team to integrate when games are running out. The above is an opinion and so is that we will stay up. Fuck me we need to. UTO
  12. Interesting. We've all seen all sorts of amounts banded around re bids etc. It seemed we had offered 2m or so, similar to Blackburn but there offer was more attractive in a staged payments perspective I assume. I saw 5m mentioned today somewhere re Blackburn deal but that likely includes wages, sell on etc. What gets me thinking is whatever the initial down payment is on the deal then I presume that we have that cash available so could divert to wages on a loan deal possibly. It's been a quiet transfer window in general for most clubs but there's every chance we see some interesting ins/outs tomorrow. UTO
  13. I haven't a clue what DC thinks, but I'd look at is this way.....when he invested, which he did in DR and the backroom team, what did he want/expect/demand, well, that could only have been one thing...survival. From where we were to were we are now we are certainly in a better position to achieve that. Albeit we've lost 2 on the bounce and with other results that have occurred he like I'm sure most of us look at the table with a certain amount of apprehension. The next half a dozen games or so define whether we have a sniff. On recruitment, wholesale changes could take time to work and we don't have a lot more of time really, we just have to think DR has a plan and all the variables work out. I'm still saying we stay up. But it's only just over 50/50 in our favor. UTO
  14. Tough games these last 2, as has been said certainly not season defining although the next 8 or so really are, aside of Leicester away they are points available if we tick. We need to have parity of games played to points ASAP. 5 wins from 8 does it and looking at fixtures it's not unreasonable. It just needs doing. UTO
  15. A suggestion on FB that 1m bid from Ipswich has been rejection for MJ.
  16. We absolutely don't want the scousers at home.
  17. We finished 3 points above relegation. It was a humourous post though
  18. Middlesbrough looking likely to sign Azaz
  19. What went wrong Harry, did he move into space or were you just strong enough, either way poor defending if you ask me.
