  1. Me too kev. The Mrs has gone to bed, just gone midnight here, but a breeze is good for the armpits. I getting slowly rubbered on cheap white wine an the balcony Come on fellas
  2. Straw clutch... Win first half at Hillsborough 2-0 and it's game on!!!
  3. We need 3 wins. That's got to be the mentality, I'm sure that it is. But the worry is that last Friday the same thought process of needing to win every game should have been there. I agree with others, and tonight is a perfect example, Ipswich and Plymouth both winning from a goal down. Again, 3 wins, that's it and see what happens
  4. To add, in a season we have broken club records for clean sheets. Couldn't make it up
  5. It's the conceding goals that's the problem just now. 3 yesterday and 2 at Cheltenham, we scored 2 in both, if the defence are at it and conceding 1 in each we are 5 points better off and a very different conversation with regards the run in as it would be in our hands. Both boxes and all that
  6. The dressing room needs a different managers voice/message, simple as that
  7. That should be what DM is saying to the squad. Looking at the fixtures.... Ipswich have a harder run in than the other top 4 and and draw with the dingles may be a right result. And they go to Peterborough. Plymouth looks similar to ours so to speak. I'd like 4 consecutive wins and take the final game out of the equation. Within the club that HAS to be the message. Dennis getting his 2 today could be pivatol, he ll hopefully kick on now with some confidence, he's a player that needs that. I just hope and to be fair expect that DM and his team want autos and most importantly the players too. 4 wins is 96 points, in any other season it's enough but it's still out of our control. Yet any number of points does it, buckle up fellas. UTO
  8. I've re read the thread and I ll say it again. Sterlands penalty to seal promotion to the top flight. Side footed to the right in front of the kop. I was on the kop that day. Decent attendance, probs circa 30k. As a side note I was also at the home game against Man City a couple of games later. To be fair to them the city fans were chanting at times. We're staying down , we're staying down, you're not. Fair play albeit nearly 30 years ago, different landscape now
  9. An almost typical story of rise from non league, I have no idea of their history, I presume they had an owner that threw money at it, I doubt the rise was 'organic', I may be wrong though. Look at clubs that have historically been in the top 4 leagues there's plenty have been down in national league. Some make it back, others don't, it's just the football pyramid, winners and losers every season. Notts county were a first division club in my lifetime, as were Oldham. It is was it is.
  10. There's a glaringly obvious thing, I think, as has been said we are without windass and byers, 2 first names in team sheet. With what we are bringing in from the squad we've become easy to read and far too easy to play against. 2 points from Cheltenham, forest green and Lincoln. I agree 100% with Tys take. This now needs proper management and making what we have work as best we can. Technically out of our control but the other 3 teams won't win all of their games. DM needs to have the mindset of autos is the only game in town and fkin acheive it by doing what he's paid to do.
  11. RIP Ken Condolences to you and your family cheat
  12. A bad week. Still firmly in our own hands though
  13. Vic Buckingham was manager when Kay, swan and Layne backed Ipswich to beat us at Portman road.
