  1. Okay, so curiosity got the better of me. The below is how the bottom of the championship looked after 35 games in 2012/13. This isn't necessarily a table that existed as it's how many points each side had after they played 35 games. Points totals a little higher than today above the relegation zone, but 4th/3rd/2nd bottom very comparable to today. At the end of the season, Peterborough were relegated on 54 points so it's not inconceivable that a similar total could be necessary this time. Charlton 43 Birmingham 42 Ipswich 42 Blackpool 42 Huddersfield 41 Sheffield Weds 40 Barnsley 38 Peterboro 37 Wolves 36 Bristol City 35
  2. I think the points total needed will be high this year. As a point of comparison, is there a source for the table in the 2012/13 season at this stage of the season? I think that was the highest total we’ve seen in recent times at 54/55 points and it would give an idea of how far we are away from that. If there isn’t anything then I’ll knock something together in Python, but just not tonight.
  3. Frustrating that we don’t gain much ground, but anything other than three points would have been a disaster today.
  4. What an absolute prick. He’s their best player so obviously hope he’s not playing as soon as possible.
  5. Millwall set to sack Edwards and replace him with Harris.
  6. From the BBC gossip column: Sheffield Wednesday, Bolton Wanderers and Peterborough United are exploring a move for 31-year-old Jamaica midfielder Ravel Morrison, who is a free agent after leaving MLS side DC United. (Teamtalk) Thankfully the source aren’t exactly known for their reliability.
  7. I see Palace are pretending that they weren’t in the process of sacking him when he was taken to hospital.
  8. Especially when you look at that table and realise what a defeat would have done.
  9. I think we have to caveat that it’s win and it’s 4.5. Our goal difference is so bad that it seems irrecoverable, getting the same points as those above will not be good enough.
  10. If Röhl made the decision then it can’t be used as a stick to beat Chansiri with.
  11. The save from what looked like a double deflection was exceptional.
  12. We will win this game. The match against Huddersfield was abberation brought about by a demanding match a few days before and the difficulty of playing high intensity games in quick succession with a squad that hasn’t been built for it. Röhl alluded to making changes for Coventry to prioritise Birmingham in his post match comments and I think it will show on Friday night.
  13. Whenever I’ve seen him play, which admittedly isn’t much, he’s looked good. I’m surprised that he hasn’t kicked on and got a place in the Leeds side, but hopefully that’s to our benefit.
