Just watched the Wednesday Week podcast with the bottom 4 and Ash has spent the entire thing banging on about the chaos in ownership and parroting all the lines, Chansiri refuses to fund the club, can't pay the tax bill, any TV money going to pay debts so maybe can't support Rohl, Rohl leaving like DM because of Chansiri.

    This is the issue.

Unless you dig, this is the truth as this is all you hear.

Oh my blood pressure rises when they go in those types of rants!

Facts are it’s a long season!

And that’s all am willing to say until post 3pm Saturday when our fair is known

though likely post Sunday once I’ve recovered from a night out around Newcastle !

  2. Seen a post by Jim getting upset about fans getting behind the club and “forgetting” about the protest.

We are facing the most pivotal summer ever - contract situation mean we could very well hold the power at a club level again! It’s really is dependent on survival and that’s in our hands.

Attacking the chairman throughout the summer if we stay up is foolish.

Anyway Rohl says it Germany for preseason - am off to the Euros for few and could very well be off to see Wednesday as well ! Assuming I don’t get deported in the Euros or the wife don’t try killing me as I disappear each weekend in June then July 😂

    Auf Wiedersehen, Pet

  3. How to overshadow best game of season - these protests do nothing but good for the club!

Like the substantial lack of backing  Rohl got in Jan - no strikers, no keepers, no wingers … those arguments were used to  fuel the protests, alongside some poor results.

Any rumours of takeover from Germany / US doing rounds over in Stalk.

Staying up not a done thing yet either but it’s looking like a Pivotal summer.

Wonder how big Darren is feeling.

  4. The father claiming assault winds me up! DC is accused of arrogance - er he’s happily standing for a picture with a young supporter.

DC & family have been threatened with violence for 9 month by people who sing that song - he’s a 100% right to want to create a distance between him and someone singing that song next to his face. He at that stage does not know what could happen- security is there for a reason.

We are on the cusp of a new beginning - and thanks to the protests it could scupper that.

The Wednesday way for me is all about ourselves being our own biggest enemy!

  5. Remember when it was Chansiri fault for Leeds charging us £47 or whatever and the group used as another reason to beat him with.

Well Sunderland charged Leeds fans £30 this season and they got rewarded with a £47 charge also …

Still Leeds did nothing wrong according to lots it was all DC fault.

  6. 1) currently Stalk is pushing the narrative that fan behaviour is a result of Chansiri game day management and not the negativity stirred up by recent protests

    2) Fan forum of 5 years? DC sat with a host of fans post the sacking of DM this summer? Spent 4 hours talking

it was followed up by some of his most ferment critics meeting him 2 week later.

Not sure where you’re going with this. Can’t say I had a feeling on it either way. I suppose if Chansiri’s reign was successful and his son learnt the ropes, I’d be overjoyed.

Just interested - you see when he said that I felt like we had the backing of a owner who wanted the best for the club.

He’s had his mini breakdowns and some things he done have not sat right with me - but I anchor my perception that nobody goes out of their way to give their siblings something worse than when they took over.

DC is clearly (MK and I will happily debate that statement over the next half decade no doubt) working in the long term after his short term success attempt failed.

I think most clubs have genuine supporter engagement and encourage communication with the people who make the club what it is. Maybe he would be better giving that task to a better qualified footballing person.

So let me get this right .. DC the most accessible owner this club had probably ever.

its not good enough because other clubs are “more genuine” about their sessions.

You see the problem here is there are plenty clubs which have no dialogue - plenty of owners who do not care and yes plenty who do and plenty who need to still get it right!

It’s just not a significant issue to warrant want an owner who continues to invest out!

I had a meeting with Lee Strafford. Didn’t agree with him on many points but he didn’t talk over me. I’ve attempted several times to speak with Chansiri, he quote told me “not to come to his personal zone”, when emailing him on his official club email address. The same one which called other fans idiots “allegedly”.

The four hour fan meetings stopped some time ago, we instead have an engagement panel meeting infrequently, which supporters groups such as the Trust are banned from. I’d be interested to know on your thoughts regarding whether you believe the club listen to the fans concerns?

Lee wasn’t the owner he was the chairman.

There been online panels with DC recently and he met people who openly disliked him within the last year.

Any other owner offer to meet any fan?

Paypal only cover your purchase for 180 days from the point of making the transaction. Therefor if you haven’t opened a dispute within 180 days and the company you purchase from enters liquidation without you receiving some or all of your services, you’ve lost your money. With cash and a cheque I don’t believe you have any avenues to get your money back, if the services aren’t delivered.

    With a credit card;

“If you booked a holiday or flights costing between £100 and £30,000 and paid either the deposit or the full price on your credit card, you may be able to claim if the airline or holiday company goes bust or the holiday isn’t as described.

But not all situations are covered. You might not be able to claim if you bought from a third-party provider and you also wouldn’t be refunded for any unnecessary costs.”

The third party in this instance would be PayPal.

Given that the club is openly admitting cash flow issues and paying HMRC has been problematic, I’d suggest buyer protection is important. It’s certainly a very fair question to ask the club with regard to the payment options offered.

It’s called a sunk cost! Club can have my money it’s already gets a significant proportion of my life!

I am really am not chasing cash if my club goes bust indeed I’ll be putting MORE money into the bloody club!

  11. Wow bit of catch up that was!!

So the sponsorship has been adequately debunked already.

The player argument - let me take you back to the Westwood and Hutchinson situation of frozen in and out by differing managers?

That alone should end all speculation  that Chansiri controls the situation above and beyond the manager involved! I mean seriously just apply common sense when jumping on chairman for freezing out players! Not least Johnson!!! Munoz didn’t like Rohl brought back - common denominator same bloody chairman!!!!

When you argument is he appointed a poor manager he should go !!!! I want to scream!! Pulis I hated but at the time I thought great appointment! It’s football nobody gets it right all the time!

Communication with the fans is broken - compared to?? Jake you 36 .. tell me a time you could get a meeting with the owner by asking? An audience of over 4 hours? The club is doing more behind scenes than ever!

as he got things wrong!! YES! Point deduction so frustrating but even then it was clear cut cock up was it - it was a sodding stupid admin error!

One of mates says he was down Rotherham on Saturday before game, obviously no ticket, probably turned up at a lot of away games with no ticket over years.

You can bet he still got in ground at some point though, especially years ago.

Yep he was there was in pub with him.

  13. It’s knocked me this news - known the lad for 30 plus years. Knew he’d had a an accident at weekend and knew it weren’t  good but being told today of the news and am upset.

He was no angel, he was a bloody nuisance but he was our nuisance.

I’ve been speaking to mates all evening about him and we’re all rocked. I have 100’s of memories good bad and some just bloody hilarious!

He’d of been in his element tomorrow night out on the streets. Many ways he lived for Wednesday.

Lots are convinced he coined the WAWAW saying

Not often you’d say this about Ricky but I were fortunate to bump into him Saturday ! Just a shame I’ll never see him again - he was a good if annoying  mate to more than just me!

    RIP

  14. And the latest post by the 1867 proves their focus is on themselves and not the club! They are gutted the accounts are not worse!

Refuse to recognised DC is turning the club around from ground up - they are just so entitled and expect a profitable club whilst paying the cheapest match tickets in football!

Also as we are a deadline club for accounts can’t help but think DC got these out a day b4 the next protest on purpose!

Depends on away support, didn't seem to be many there so could be a few thousand more home fans I suppose

Yep that was my point, poorly made. Basically it was a smaller away following then most games and our extra home support witnessed us just above the average - I estimated 3k based on 22k season ticket holder - 1k Bristol and the difference being those taking advantage of the deduction.

When Watford pitched up with about 500 attendance was something like 22,600 and there were plenty missing from our season ticket base but they count season ticket regardless now.

    Saw this

    IMG_8455.thumb.jpeg.8fdf665a924ced4bcca86cb8689ecf40.jpeg

    that was pre Preston away.

    PNE 5,341

Southampton 2,800 (est per same source)

    Huddersfield 2,331 allocated and sold

    Leicester 3,255 allocated and sold

    Millwall 2,719 (2900 allocated)

Average is now 2,585, imagine if we had a half decent season!!

    Last 6 away

    Rotherham 2.1k

    Ipswich 2k

    Boro 2k apparently

    Qpr 3k

    Sunderland 2.5k

Blackburn 7k (doubt they offer it if they are dragged into the battle to stay up)

Any chance of us getting 4K at Sunderland you reckon?

  17. But he didn’t back Danny!! We didn’t get a striker in the January window and we left it too late to get one in!

He’s never backed Rohl that’s why he’ll walk .. oh that and his full former Red bull management team which of course was the invisible investors from red bull doing!

And ticket prices are too much - but a drop yesterday witnessed  only an extra 3k turn up with us slightly above the season average

  18. Great result for us!

Pol is really shinning now and the recent news focus he’s had explains why time is required when picking up foreign players.

One thing to add I thought it was obvious Bannan had a bit of reservation about his play today - he was clearly playing with the knowledge one more yellow knocked him out of the next game!
We need Bazza for the next 2 games without a shadow of doubt.

I’ve rightly or wrongly baked in a loss against Leeds  in my head and am praying for maximum points in the next 2!

  19. I’d tend to agree that the facts of D.C. ownership  have been so misconstrued in recent times and such a frenzy has been reached it’s hard to apply rational thought over what has happened!

I agree with the Brexit hill debate hint if am honest.

I have settled happily with rationale that the successes of “smaller clubs” have in part come about due to lesser pressure from pent up expectation whilst the success of “larger clubs” have come about due to significant funds spent on a gamble that paid off!

I 100% know D.C. has made big mistakes - I’ve settled on 3 .. a) not selling players b) cocking up the sale of the ground c) the stupid outburst this season re 2 million

The rest have been run of mill management of the club errors some by our own making some by others.
The worst falsehood is the idea that the North as the owners name because he’s arrogant (he maybe) but it was done to justify extra investment just like D Taxi!
