The main one is the treatment of Chansiri’s loan. Should be shown as a current liability or have some sort of discounting applied. The accounts do sort of acknowledge this is wrong.
Disclosure of estimates and judgements is a bit ropey.
Should disclose more on the government grants and what they are.
But I’m being picky. As you say they look pretty sound overall.
The positive bit there is the decrease in wages. Presumably even more so this season but obviously the income will remain lower than Championship level for things like TV rights.
Like mk I find the VAT and PAYE liability ‘interesting’ but I think we would know by now if this was causing issues in practice.
As in previous years I could be a right smartarse and point out some technical errors in the accounts but I’m not that sad.
I think regardless of what happens in the play-offs he deserves another shot next season. The second half of the season has been excellent apart from a couple of blips.
What will be interesting is how many of the current squad are still here next season. I don’t think we want wholesale changes this time, just an improvement here and there.
That’s a scandalous decision on the disallowed goal. Ref has to be made to explain that. These things matter in tight, important games. Fans can complain about players and managers all they like but we’ve scored a goal and so have they. A draw would have been a decent result today and we’ve been denied it.
The crumb of comfort is that other results today mean auto was never really on anyway. And Oxford are out of it so another team that can’t catch us.
Forest Green is near my gaff by the way, in Nailsworth, a small town in Gloucestershire.
