    Been quite a hard frost but forecast to get up to 4 degrees so hopefully should be OK. Although I see Swindon have already called their game off.

    He’s had one terrible game (Bristol Rovers) but other than that he’s been pretty good. Was definitely the pick of our defenders before his injury - which actually led to the rise of McGuinness.

    That was the best bit for me last night…..after a few years of feeling like he was struggling to get enthusiastic about Wednesday my lad was loving it and was talking about telling all his mates at school. I know not everyone on here has kids but those that do will know what it means to see them get that same joy from watching a game that you do.

    Again it doesn’t matter but that is the most blatant penalty you could wish to see. And it’s the same guy who got booked in the first half.

    I know it doesn’t matter but we have another ref who is quite happy to give the opposition soft free kicks when they fall over to relieve the pressure. They have had the ball less than half the time we have but have been given more than twice as many free kicks.

    Hope Moore is watching this. What happens when you play with intensity and desire vs trying to contain and slow the game down.

    For me one of the biggest problems at the moment is Windass. He’s just out of form for whatever reason and nothing he tries is coming off. We also seem to have to force a shape to accommodate him. I like him as a player but maybe it’s time for a rest.

    Got to take that point but a worrying performance. If Bannan is out for a bit we have to hope that Byers gets back.

    That was indeed a strange game today, the last 10 minutes or so really weren’t much fun and there was a 5 minute spell where I genuinely worried we might balls it up. But in hindsight I guess we have been able to shuffle the pack and rest a few players but still come away with 3 points so mustn’t grumble. For once I thought the ref was on our side and wouldn’t be surprised if they felt a bit hard done by on that front. He even made out like he had disallowed Winnall’s goal at one point.
