  1. Can’t remember hearing an England crowd turn like that before.
  2. It may be a developed skill but why should being able to chuck the ball long way give you an advantage in football. The idea of a throw in is that it should get the game restarted quickly without giving a major advantage. An underarm throw along the ground with a 10 yard rule enforced is the answer.
  3. Not to mention similar antics in the game against Birmingham in 17/18 when we went down to 9 men. But I can forgive all that if he signs for us, we could do a lot worse.
  4. Surprised at Huddersfield signing Boyle. Nowhere near good enough for a team with ambitions to be in the Prem.
  5. Managed to get a few more Munros under the belt this week. An Caisteal, Beinn a’Chroin and Ben Vorlich.
  6. Just found this thread. In Scotland at the moment and took the kids up Beinn Ime, 1011m up. Not a bad view
  7. Disappointed that Hutch is going but OK about the rest. Think NML could be decent with a pre season behind him.
  8. At least in Cheltenham the interbreeding keeps the gene pool higher quality than the riff raff. You’d have to pay me a shitload to move from Cheltenham to Barnsley.
  9. Barnsley been given permission by Cheltenham to approach Michael Duff.
  10. The audit report originally filed had a heading ‘material uncertainty related to going concern’ but then explained that there wasn’t any. So the heading was wrong or the wording underneath it was. As that’s quite a sensitive one I bet they wanted to change it.
  11. Could just be a disclosure technicality, let’s wait and see. But normally you wouldn’t amend and replace unless you noticed an error that couldn’t be lived with.
  12. Not really, implies the original filing was wrong.
  13. Tbf that’s pretty shocking. More violent than what happened to Kirkland, albeit different context as he wasn’t the only one on the pitch. I didn’t see it at the time but normally the staff and subs scarper down the tunnel as soon as the fans start coming up, why was Sharp still there?
  14. John Fleck : the most punchable face in football?
  15. Commentator mentioned that Tom Lees had actually scored for Huddersfield in a play-off semi final……
  16. Didn’t lose to Gillingham but lost at Shrewsbury. 14 points dropped against those two and Lincoln combined.
  17. Absolutely this, I said to my mate as soon as the keeper went down that it was a momentum breaker. Maybe he was really injured but my suspicion is that it was the kind of cheating you would expect from an Alex Neil team.
  18. I just think a change in manager will see another slow start and half a season wasted again. Over the past 4 months we have seen it work so need to hold our nerve and believe. Definitely need that pace and trickery, but also a little nous and nastiness. Get Dean in, sign a couple of strikers and a big bastard midfielder. Maybe have to sell or let a few go that we ideally wouldn’t want to (Luongo? Bannan?) but so be it.
  19. They’ve done a job on us over the two legs, simple as that. But that could have gone either way tonight.
  20. Soaking up the atmosphere now. I’m starting to get a sneaky feeling we might do this.
  21. Taking the afternoon off so I can get up there as early as possible. I think the experience of the Huddersfield game has scarred me as I’m not really looking forward to it. I’m sure once I’m on the Kop with the atmosphere building the excitement will kick in.
  22. Will Boyle has rejected a new contract at Cheltenham and will be leaving them this summer. Has been linked with us in the past. Not convinced he would be any better than what we currently have, but is a strong aerial presence at both ends of the pitch.
  23. Think we have to give Sunderland a bit of credit for their intensity and stopping us from playing. We are very much still in this.
