With this, it means the 2034 tournament can't be held in South America, Africa, or Europe. That means it’ll have to be in Asia or Oceania. Basically, it’s going to be in Saudi Arabia.

BBC all but confirmed that Rich, sports washing at its finest.

Only if you live in Europe...

Or Asia, or North or Central America, or the Middle East.

Back to 2030…

It’ll be a bit tough on the teams playing their first game in S America then jetting off to Portugal for their second group game three days later.

So not Oceana, South America or Africa then. There's also a big chunk of northern Europe/Russia that don't play football in winter either.

A June/July world cup only really suits the majority of the 'big' European leagues which hardly makes it a "world" cup

The opening three games being in South America is surely going to be a huge advantage for the other teams in those groups?!

They’re going to have to do something about scheduling and give teams extra time as playing on Saturday in Montevideo then Tuesday in Rabat doesn’t seem fair.
