I’m not sure he is but he appears to be able to attract and sign decent players, so I’d probably leave him in charge for a couple of months next season and see how he does. Rather than run the risk of another summer of wholesale changes.

Overall I’d say he’s doing a great job. He’s put together a strong squad, given limitations placed upon us. Dean, Storey, Gregory, Johnson, Byers and other have proven to be great signings. He’s changed the mentality of the place, from top to bottom. We’ve shaken off the weak willed, roll over and die illness that set in whenever we went behind. We’re now going on to be stronger in games where we concede early. The players appear to care. We have a style to our play and we are pleasing to watch. We’re in the playoffs. Not everything has gone according to plan. It took a long time for the system to work but I think a lot of that was due to the amount of injuries. We’ve signed some bang-average players in Sow, Kamberi, Brown but I think they were a cheap gamble and largely squad fillers and it’s shown we’ve needed a big squad with injuries. His interviews are shit. We’ve failed to get to grips with shit-housing sides and we can’t defend set pieces to save our lives but on the whole, I’d say we’ve taken great strides in the right direction, which we’re seeing the results of, since the turn of the year.

Have you seen Kamberi play? I’d love to be eating humble pie later but I suspect not. Im ok with that side. Paterson needs a better game.

Interested to see FDB, Bannan and Luongo together. That could be a very powerful unit. We’ll miss Hunt but you can’t complain with Johnson and ML in your side at this level.

We need to be at them from the off. Hit them like we did MK and don’t give them a chance to get into their game.

It certainly is an odd line up. I still think we’ll have too much up top (or “up the front” as someone on radio Sheffield insists on saying) for them. Hopefully we won’t need to worry too much about the back 3

I’d agree. Fantastic result. They took both of their goals very well but we gifted them both, to some extent. FDB (correction) was a beast today.

DFB, Bannan, Gregory were amazing that first half. We didn’t capitulate after the goal. We need 20 minutes more of the same. Dean is another big loss, let Dunkley step up.

And they also realise they’re not a big club and have been punching above their weight. I think a lot of the fans will be happy to try their luck in the Championship and hope that brings more excitement. Be careful what you wish for

Ipswich 90. Went on the ICO and my mate threw up in his bag (which contained his sandwiches) about 10 miles out of Sheffield. The two turnstile debacle and people sitting on the side of the pitch because it was that packed. A glorious sunny day, I left thinking we’d smash the division. Blackburn cup semi was just magnificent. Any win at L**ds that I attended. We had some good days and nights at Baseball Ground, even if the results weren’t always great.
