  1. Hull’s penalty meant that Johnson’s strike got us our first point with Gassama’s excellent finish providing the other two. In Meaningful Goals Johnson get two points for giving us the lead, and Gassama half a point for putting us two goals in front. Windass doesn’t get anything. Who Got Us The Points Marvin Johnson 5.1 Anthony Musaba 5 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Di’shon Bernard 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Cameron Dawson 0.8 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Michael Ihiekwe 0.5 Dominic Iorfa 0.45 Akin Famewo 0.4 Liam Palmer 0.4 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Pol Valentin 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 10 Marvin Johnson 6 Bailey Cadamarteri 4 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Djeidi Gassama 0.5 Josh Windass 0.5
  2. A clean sheet at Preston for our first point. With a couple of defensive formation changes how to distribute the point is a little complicated. The easy part is 0.2 for Dawson, Ihiekwe and Bernard as they played the 90 minutes at keeper and centre half respectively. Famewo did 35 minutes at centre half., so is due 0.1 as is Palmer for his final 24 minutes there. By my calculation Valentin and Johnson should get 0.15 as they did 59 minutes as wing backs (0.05) and 31 minutes as full backs (0.1); but all that adds up to 1.1 - therefore I’m giving Valentin and Johnson 0.1. If the accountants on here can tell me where I went wrong here then I’m all ears. The easy bit is that Johnson’s strike added the other two points, and that he also gets the same in Meaningful Goals. Who Got Us The Points Anthony Musaba 5 Marvin Johnson 4.1 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 2 Di’shon Bernard 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Cameron Dawson 0.8 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Michael Ihiekwe 0.5 Dominic Iorfa 0.45 Akin Famewo 0.4 Liam Palmer 0.4 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Pol Valentin 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 10 Bailey Cadamarteri 4 Marvin Johnson 4 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Josh Windass 0.5
  3. Red cards in successive games, with Byers getting his marching orders at Preston. There were yellows for Musaba and Dawson. Bambo Diaby 9 Akin Famewo 9 Will Vaulks 9 Barry Bannan 8 Callum Paterson 7 Di’shon Bernard 5 Anthony Musaba 5 Liam Palmer 5 Josh Windass 5 George Byers 4 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Liam Palmer 4 Pol Valentin 4 Cameron Dawson 3 Jeff Hendrick 3 Djeidi Gassama 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Marvin Johnson 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1 Malik Wilks 1
  4. And a post full time red for Diaby. Bambo Diaby 9 Akin Famewo 9 Will Vaulks 9 Barry Bannan 8 Callum Paterson 7 Di’shon Bernard 5 Liam Palmer 5 Josh Windass 5 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Liam Palmer 4 Anthony Musaba 4 Pol Valentin 4 Jeff Hendrick 3 Cameron Dawson 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 George Byers 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Marvin Johnson 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1 Malik Wilks 1
  5. Famewo’s yellow at Coventry moves him alongside Vaulks at the head of the table. It’s all shaping up nicely. Akin Famewo 9 Will Vaulks 9 Barry Bannan 8 Callum Paterson 7 Bambo Diaby 6 Di’shon Bernard 5 Liam Palmer 5 Josh Windass 5 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Liam Palmer 4 Anthony Musaba 4 Pol Valentin 4 Jeff Hendrick 3 Cameron Dawson 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 George Byers 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Marvin Johnson 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1 Malik Wilks 1
  6. Plenty of points from the visit of Cardiff. Famewo leads the way with his own goal. Vaulks’ yellow card means he leads the way though, one point ahead of both Famewo and Bannan. Musaba and Paterson also made their way into the ref’s notebook. Will Vaulks 9 Barry Bannan 8 Akin Famewo 8 Callum Paterson 7 Bambo Diaby 6 Di’shon Bernard 5 Liam Palmer 5 Josh Windass 5 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Liam Palmer 4 Anthony Musaba 4 Pol Valentin 4 Jeff Hendrick 3 Cameron Dawson 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 George Byers 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Marvin Johnson 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1 Malik Wilks 1
  7. Musaba keeps up his impressive record of all his goals giving us the lead, and as a result moves even further ahead in Meaningful Goals. Us, somehow managing to take nothing from a game we were in complete control of means there’s nothing to be added onto the main table after the Cardiff game. Who Got Us The Points Anthony Musaba 5 Marvin Johnson 2 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 2 Jeff Hendrick 1 Di’shon Bernard 0.8 Cameron Dawson 0.6 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Dominic Iorfa 0.45 Akin Famewo 0.3 Michael Ihiekwe 0.3 Liam Palmer 0.3 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 10 Bailey Cadamarteri 4 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Marvin Johnson 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Josh Windass 0.5
  8. Cadamarteri’s third Wednesday goal gave us our first point v QPR, with Musaba adding the other two points with a late winner for the second Saturday running. it’s the same points in Meaningful Goals, with Musaba keeping up his impressive record of each of his goals being one that gives us the lead. Who Got Us The Points Anthony Musaba 5 Marvin Johnson 2 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 2 Jeff Hendrick 1 Di’shon Bernard 0.8 Cameron Dawson 0.6 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Dominic Iorfa 0.45 Akin Famewo 0.3 Michael Ihiekwe 0.3 Liam Palmer 0.3 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 8 Bailey Cadamarteri 4 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Marvin Johnson 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Josh Windass 0.5
  9. Another point packed game. Diaby leads the way with three fro his own goal, with Bernard, Bannan, Vaulks, Musaba and Palmer all getting one for their yellow cards. Will Vaulks 8 Barry Bannan 8 Bambo Diaby 6 Callum Paterson 6 Di’shon Bernard 5 Akin Famewo 5 Liam Palmer 5 Josh Windass 5 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Liam Palmer 4 Pol Valentin 4 Jeff Hendrick 3 Anthony Musaba 3 Cameron Dawson 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 George Byers 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Marvin Johnson 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1 Malik Wilks 1
  10. Four players scoring ten (or more) goals doesn't seem that big a deal, but it rarely happens. We last did it in 2006-07 - Deon Burton (13), Steve MacLean (13), Marcus Tudgay (11) and Chris Brunt (10). Prior to that it was the 90-91 glory season - David Hirst (32), Paul Williams (17), John Sheridan (12) and Nigel Pearson (12). And the one before that, 85-86 - Lee Chapman (15), Brian Marwood (15), Carl Shutt (13) and Mel Sterland (11). So, as you can see, it is that big a deal. For this thread I take the very simplistic calculation of goals scored in the number of games we've had so far and assume that the players will score at the same ratio in the remaining games. It almost seems pointless asking the question this season. Very little chance of four players making it, probably a more realistic question is will anyone? With 23 games played, and a minimum of 26 to play we have just three players with more than a single goal to their name. Smith and Musaba lead the way with three, so their final season projection is six. Cadamarteri is expected to finish on four, although with his introduction to the first team having only been recently, this is hopefully a falsely low estimation. Our single scorers are on course for another.
  11. Just a single yellow from the trip to Norwich. It went to Palmer for his yellow card. Will Vaulks 7 Barry Bannan 7 Callum Paterson 6 Akin Famewo 5 Josh Windass 5 Di’shon Bernard 4 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Liam Palmer 4 Pol Valentin 4 Bambo Diaby 3 Jeff Hendrick 3 Cameron Dawson 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Anthony Musaba 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 George Byers 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Marvin Johnson 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1 Malik Wilks 1
  12. No points onto the main table from the visit to Norwich, but it’s another point for Cadamarteri in the secondary table as his header drew us level. Who Got Us The Points Anthony Musaba 3 Marvin Johnson 2 Michael Smith 2 Bailey Cadamarteri 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Di’shon Bernard 0.8 Cameron Dawson 0.6 Bambo Diaby 0.6 Dominic Iorfa 0.45 Akin Famewo 0.3 Michael Ihiekwe 0.3 Liam Palmer 0.3 Reece James 0.2 Devis Vasquez 0.2 Calum Paterson 0.15 Juan Delgado 0.1 Meaningful Goals Anthony Musaba 6 Bailey Cadamarteri 3 Michael Smith 2.5 George Byers 2 Juan Delgado 2 Marvin Johnson 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 Barry Bannan 1 Lee Gregory 1 Jeff Hendrick 1 Josh Windass 0.5

  14. Plenty of points added from the visit to Stoke. Famewo led the way with one for his early yellow and two for conceding the penalty. Johnson, Musaba and Bannan also went into the ref’s notebook. Will Vaulks 7 Barry Bannan 7 Callum Paterson 6 Akin Famewo 5 Josh Windass 5 Di’shon Bernard 4 Juan Delgado 4 Lee Gregory 4 Pol Valentin 4 Bambo Diaby 3 Jeff Hendrick 3 Liam Palmer 3 Cameron Dawson 2 Djeidi Gassama 2 Anthony Musaba 2 Tyreeq Bakinson 1 George Byers 1 Dominic Iorfa 1 Marvin Johnson 1 Michael Smith 1 Devis Vasquez 1 Malik Wilks 1
  15. The first point at Stoke was thanks to our clean sheet. The defensive substitution came before the cut off point, so Dawson, Palmer, Diaby and Bernard get 0.2, with Famewo and Ihiekwe getting 0.1. Musaba’s late strike added the other two points, and it puts him top of the pile. He already topped Meanigful Goals, and his two points give him an impressive six points for his three goals. 17. Cadamarteri’s first senior goal earned us our first point v Blackburn, with Johnson’s first of the season added the other two. In Meaningful Goals, Cadamarteri and Johnson both get two points, and Windass half a point.
