was swaying towards releasing Josh during his latest injury lay off but after the run in have re-evaluated and would offer a two year deal.

He'll want a two year deal wherever he goes but does getting two years with us stop the progression of Gassama or Shipston or do we take that potential hit in order to climb the division but be at the same rebuild situation in two years.

If he'd take one year with an appearance based extension trigger (the same I'd offer to Bannan) then he's on the bus

  2. Been linked with 22 year old goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo. Out of contract at Arsenal and not expected to get another one, unless he signs an extension and goes straight out on loan again. Spent last season on loan at Wrexham as their first choice and they want him to stay but he thinks he could play higher than L1.

He could, but if we sign Beadle again or Vitek then where does that leave the progression route for Pierce Charles?

  3. He only looks 15 but he's got a wedding ring on. But being Barnsley it's probably his sister.

He's probably had to wait for his mum to finish her Only Fans before he could use the bedroom for his rant.

Bet he's top lad when he wanders down the park to meet his mates and play on the swings. "Av stuffed it to dem Wednesday on YouTube lads. Proper lakin, now giz a swig o'tha white lightning"

He'll be one of those that gives it large stood on the opposite platform at Barnsley station but with one eye on the exit just in case.

There's so much in there that made me laugh but the rant about our fanbase not being born when we were last in the Prem is priceless coming from someone his age.

His rip into the pigs is equally hilarious and bad.

You tell me - he's the one that openly said in statements re not considering selling but I think it's pretty common knowledge re the meetings

Information to the prospective parties in said meetings

    Genuine buyers

Guess that's up to him - the longer he stays the bigger loss it's going to be really

It's not common knowledge.  It's rumour.  What do you "know" about 2 meetings?  With who?  Adam Shaw? - Because if so that's not a stick to beat DC with?

What information?  Who determines what is "reasonable information?"  Doesn't it depend on context?  A request from a tyre kicker for information will likely yield less returns than a request from a genuine buyer.

@BraddersTim Chansiri, in his September statement on the club website, states that he's had meetings with a club sponsor but reiterates in the statement that if anyone is interested then it's a case of "show me the money" and act professional about it. You can read into that, that he's talking about Adam Shaw, especially when he mentions said sponsor hasn't paid his bill yet.

Fast forward to beginning of November and Carlton Palmer starts telling everyone who'll listen that he knows for a FACT that several interested parties have made enquiries but Chansiri won't entertain any of them. This is picked up by the Stir, Sun, Mail and several football media outlets and the anti Chansiri brigade read it as it must be true and that becomes the 'he won't sell' stick he's been hit with ever since.

Re the meetings. I believe I know of the two @bazapeps is talking about, as do a few others on here. The 'reasonable' information request mentioned by Baz was for financial information that could only be forthcoming if a period of exclusivity had been entered. We were nowhere near that stage so it was turned down. In a second meeting an offer was put forward for somewhere between £15-20m plus taking on the debts, to which Chansiri replied 'what debt?' The stadium will be included in any sale.

As @Andyben has eluded to, there was another interested party who was more than a tyre kicker but this all went on in the background before 1867 even existed. Said party now owns another club and if they'd have bought us then we'd have been well up shit creek.

  5. DR only wants to play one a week max so that, in his words, he can spend all week working on one particular thing.

Can't see us going to Germany until after the Euros final on July 14 so that gives time for new signings to join. If we do 10 days over there then we'll come back and go straight into the season, which might be good as the final preparations will be out of sight.

Been told we're trying to use the facilities at Loughborough Uni again for the English training camp.

  6. There's already movement to fill the head of recruitment role vacated by David Downes last July, but it's dependent on a work permit.

Dooley's COO position looks likely to be filled as well.

You won't hear much about the new training ground as it's all going through the uni for grant purposes.

Sounded very much like ‘back me or lose me’ statement to me.

I've played that back several times and I'm not getting that vibe. He reiterates what he's said in previous interviews about plans and ideas and that you need more than ideas. In his place I'd be saying exactly the same. I certainly wouldn't be doing an Atkinson, saying live on radio that I'm stopping then leaving soon after.

DR already has been backed for next season. The pre-season is already booked in. By the sounds of Bannan's interview there are already deals on the table for those that DR will want to stop and these deals will have been Danny's decision, not Chansiri's. The new player shopping list will also have been agreed if the contract extensions have been sorted.

The training ground issues will be a longer project but it's moving forward and DR is a major player in that.

And where would you think Alan Browne might end up?

He's Preston's player of the year and there's an offer on the table which Ryan Lowe says is the best offer Preston have given in the last ten years.

If he's going anywhere then he's already signed with someone but there's been no chatter to suggest he has. He's stupid to down the Preston deal in the hope that something better will come along.

He wants the first team to move away from Middlewood. I've been told we've already sounded out a partnership with Sheffield Uni's sport science department and the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (Sheffield) but we're looking for other training facilities or land to build on.

He also wants the pre-season in Germany and not the usual warm weather jolly in Portugal.

@bazapeps posted this almost a month ago. Same source told me about the tie in with Sheffield University and the pre season in Germany and, according to the interview, they got the Germany bit right.

Rumour is they want Will Still from Reims as the next manager but would cost £5m compensation unless they waited til this summer, others are linking them with Röhl

Still was interviewed before they appointed Beale but the compensation put paid to the appointment.

Cifuentes is also in the running and although he's said he'd prefer to stay in London if he doesn't get what he wants out of QPR then he'll be leaving.

  11. We'll be offered first refusal on Vitek if we stay up but he'll come as first choice. If we bin Dawson then we have to decide whether to bring in a more experienced keeper who's happy to be number 2 or promote Charles. Vitek is certainly more physical than Beadle but just as agile. Where he beats Beadle is in his commanding of his area. He's a great talker/shouter and organises his defence well.

The 1867 group could have distanced themselves from the kid and his dad with an official statement on your X account but I'm guessing, please tell me if I'm way off, that the group hierarchy decided to see which way this swung first.

Then you post on here that they were nothing to do with the group (still no official distancing) yet they were a bi-product of your protest by using your song.

Any instant condoning or distancing, by the group, might have seen you in a different light but the initial reaction across certain media and forums must have seemed like manna from heaven to some within the ranks.

You're right in that everyone is entitled to their opinion but that opinion needs to be formed from accuracy. Unfortunately too much is derived from hearsay and misinformation and the 1867 X page is the prime culprit. Whether posted by the group or added to in comments by others the place is hotbed of lies and misinformation (and worse) that people like those two on Saturday are a product of your movement.

It could have escalated into a full scale confrontation and I do wonder which side you (the group) would have fallen into and how quickly.

  13. Us, Plymouth, and Cardiff showing an interest in Brighton midfielder Marc Leonard. 22 year old and deemed surplus to requirements. Been on loan at Northampton for the past two seasons and done well. Still under contract but available for £300k or less.

Been with Brighton since he was 16 but just not good enough for the Prem
