can't see Bernard staying if we go down Ty.
If we're in L1 then a Championship club will pick him up but if we're still in the Championship and he thinks he can get regular football at a lower end Prem or top end Championship club then he needs a reality check on why we were the only ones to offer him a contract this season and a one year at that

Anybody picking anyone from that list, apart from Vaulks and Bernard, regardless of which division we're in isn't building for the future.
If we're in L1 then we have to follow the Ipswich route and go young, fast, and agile. There are players in there, spread of a lot of clubs, that could gel together and compete in the Championship. Not give Palmer, Iorfa, Bannan, Johnson etc another just to get us out then have to start the rebuild when the prices go up

If he's off to the MSL then he probably won't want to get hurt. Their transfer window reopens early July and he can go straight into playing.

Hope those seriously hurt pull through ok.

We need to realise where we presently are, figuratively speaking. We're 0-4 down after the first leg. Remember?
But we're not playing a Peterborough team who thought they only had to rock up and then couldn't handle the pressure.
We're playing a team still threatened with relegation and a team who've not secured the playoffs yet. Then Sunderland might have last day flip flops on but they're at home.
I'm not being defeatist, just realistic in how each game should be approached

Alan Nixon suggesting the compensation we’d want for Röhl is putting Sunderland off making a move for him.
Still stirring though isn't he.

It's either 4-3-3 or more likely Palmer drops into the back 3 to allow Pol and Johnson to bomb on. That's the only reason I can think for Johnson coming straight back in as Pedersen hasn't looked too bad when he's been on but is more a solid full back than wing back

Be interesting to see who we bring in. Goalkeeper coach is such a niche area nowadays. There's an extra module for working with young keepers, to take into account growing bone structure and mental development, that it's almost become a separate entity.
You can't just throw the job at an ex player, like what used to happen. There are plenty of good youth keeper coaches out there but they're specialists you've probably never heard of. Maybe our current good standing as an academy may sway other coaches like it's swayed other academy players
Another factor is the Germans are way ahead of us in this area, just saying.

Had she been watching Mike Bassett? Quoting poetry in a press conference.
On a serious note a workplace victimisation lawyer would have a field day with the FA's response, whether Eidevall flagged it or not. As he says in his press conference, everything he does is recorded.

Potter turned down the Ajax job last week.

Ssshhh you'll wake up the Nevs

They still owe for Brewster and may have to sell Ahmedhodzic to pay the remaining debt off.

said Poveda’s injury is serious and who knows if he will be back in the remaining 4 games
Just looking back at his injury record and he had on off hamstring and calf issues at Blackpool last season, especially around March/April time.
Play a couple, miss a couple, and it didn't help that Blackpool brought him back in too soon and he lasted about 20 mins in last game before being sent back to Leeds for treatment.

Yes.
Me too. He doesn't suffer fools and has the tools to deal with them without DC's perceived meltdowns and rants.
I'd have loved to have seen his response to the Nevs if he'd been in charge. There'd probably be a load of writs against some of the stuff written on other forums.

He would have been better at Centre Back instead of Diaby if we were hell bent on passing it around the defence. I use the term passing loosely.
You're speaking @Andyben language now

Would you have him in charge if he was the front for a consortium with a bit of cash behind it

2 down...
Someone really has to explain those subs for me 😵
I worked it out as 3-4-3 when they came on but the shape is all over.
I now think it's some kind of 3-2-2-2-1 or 3-2-3-2 or basically whatever shape Norwich wants to put us in.
First time I've seriously lost faith in Rohl and his backroom over an ability to read an opposition.

And I genuinely wonder what the analysts are providing pre game and during the game.
This.
You only have to look at how much ground Norwich covered on Saturday to know their style and how they overload through midfield.
I genuinely think Rohl tried to counter it by having the attacking 'threat' on the pitch but when you don't have the ball you don't have the threat

I'd have Hodge or Bolder over Pressman.
If we're talking recent then where's Semedo?
-
That silver shirt looked better when FMC did it as they stuck the Umbro badge on.
Used to be able to get decent Puma replicas online with the 'cat' on them but they were from Australia, I think.

Didn't want to hijack the match thread but seeing as there are already a few posts about it...
Who would you take out and who would be the replacements?

Where's Spiksley and Quixall?
Bloody Chansiri not respecting our history.
I'm off to buy a yellow balloon

annual drafts for player
1 hour ago, Tewksbury said:Can't go that far, as we don't have the college system.
Technically they can if the rise in non club affiliated coaching set ups continues to rise. Young players are already getting scouted and signed by these companies to sell on to clubs so easy to set up a draft around this system.
What could happen sooner though is an IPL type draft within transfer windows.

The fact that we offered so many (thanks for getting us promoted) extensions and brought James in from Blackpool suggests that was the plan all along.
Moore was never going to be the man to rip that team apart and go with youth. That's why there was all this talk about the plans were already in place and agreed on. Couldn't do that without a load of pre-agreements and/or a fair amount of tapping up.
