    I can't see us getting anything as after 9 league games I still can't see what the manager is trying to do, Sunderland cut through us with ease and then put their feet up, looking at the fixtures I can't see where a win is going to come from.

    This is true, the strategy is very short term.

    Sunderland are a decent example of how it can be done, they were arguably in a worse mess than us but now look like a team that will challenge and could get to the top flight in the next few years.

    I don't this is entirely true, lots of people had reservations about the scattershot nature of the signings, we brought in a midfielder who we didn't need (Abdi) and started the season without a recognised CB or players with pace. The Rhodes signing came at a time when we already had too many forwards.
