I’m not stressing about his record at Watford, or any of his previous clubs.
I think I read that he was then, and still is, the youngest manager in the Championship, so he’s obviously been developing his skills in those roles - and will still be learning with us no doubt.
Unless you’re in Pep’s league, success or failure at one club doesn’t always follow to the next. Ask Smith, Jones, Gerrard etc.
Given that we don’t seem to be able to attract a fully-formed proven manager, then I’m more excited about the potential of an up and coming option over been-around-the-block, (Pulis, Bruce?).
It might work - it might not. Up and coming might quickly become up and off, but at least feel like I can look forward the season now, and actual football - rather than fixate on what DC is up to.
