To scrap their matchday programme

it’s a shame as I’ve always been a huge advocate of the programme. However, it’s not a simple task compiling one for every game, and with sales dwindling across the board it doesn’t surprise me.

I think it’s Hibs who have already swapped theirs for a monthly edition, IIRC, north of the border.

Do any of you lot still buy a programme?

I sit on the North. Does anyone know how much they are?

🤣

I wish there was a bloke wandering around shouting how much they are, that would work a treat.

Shame he passed away.

Used to buy programmes when I was a kid.  Haven’t bought one since.  There are now so many ways you can find out information about what’s going on at the club you support, match programmes do seem like an anachronism.  Mind you, the appeal to kids maybe still stands, as there is the element of having a memento from an exciting thing you did.  I don’t buy merchandise from museum shops any more either, as an adult.

I think e-programmes to run alongside the physical copy would be a good option too. The edge matchday programmes still have over social media feeds is it's easier to look back and reminisce if you have a copy to refer to. A lot of fans see the programme as record keeping rather than just providing news in the moment also.
