I think it's irked me a bit as I'll miss 2 home games while I'm on holiday, with one being the dingles game.. so want to make up for the ones I'll miss.

My mate's going to miss a 'proper' home game for the 1st time in 18 years thanks to a cancelled holiday being carried forward from a previous year and falling foul of the early start to the season. Distinctly norrappy.

TBH it's something similar for us, we were due to go away in Feb.. But had to move it as the daughter hadn't had her 2nd COVID jab

Nothing has been announced yet on that mate

It's shambolic. Mainly from the Harrogate end. Won't bore with details but they've changed to Ticket Master and its a mess. Went on sale officially, Tuesday, but nobody actually has a ticket, even though people have ordered them and money gone from bank🙄🙄

No tickets available on turnstiles

Not shocked. They're a nightmare to work with at first. Once they get things settled their system is decent.

Silly fuckers.  Why not just make it pay on the day and give us three sides of the ground?  They’d give themselves a nice little pay day.

Not really, it's a wank away and clashes with Tramlines

Since they've been in league never allowed pay on gate. The most they have given to away side is 700 which I think was Bradford. Ground holds circa 4k. And no alcohol in ground. 2 pubs either end of road within 5 minutes of ground.

An absolute NIGHTMARE to park nearby.

https://www.swfc.co.uk/news/2022/july/all-focus-on-the-fitness/

Owls assistant manager Jamie Smith said all the focus was on the fitness of the players following the goalless draw with Alfreton on Saturday.

The Owls kicked off pre-season with a steady workout at the Impact Arena and Smith, standing in for Darren Moore who continues his recovery from minor knee surgery, told swfc.co.uk:

“It was good to get the first 90 minutes under the belt.

“It’s all about the physicality at this stage and we got what we wanted this afternoon.

“It was a good workout for us, obviously you could see some rust out there on both sides, you need at least three or four games to really get into your stride.

“We’ve come out of it with a clean bill of health, no injuries and that’s equally important.

“We showed some nice patterns of play at times, could have scored one or two goals but it wasn’t about that today, it was about getting minutes into the players.

“It was always the plan to play two different teams in both halves and we’ll ramp it up as pre-season progresses.

“We have got two games a week now and the minutes will ramp up from 45 to 60 and 60 to 90 to get us ready for the start of the season.”

The Owls travel to Harrogate on Friday evening as our pre-season continues and Smith is hopeful that manager Moore will be back in the dugout.

He added: “Hopefully the gaffer will be back for the next game, he still has a little soreness in the knee so better for him to sit this one out but will have the game sent to him straight away.”
