Andyben Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Shame about the illness but what a fucking waste of a generation. Should have won 2002/2004&2006 Quote

Plus we tried to always play best players which wasn't necessarily the best team Aside from not playing Scholes you mean Quote

Hirstys 12th Pint Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Very sad. A dignified Gentleman. Pity he did not lead England to greater tournament results. 1 Quote
tomcore Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 RIP and fuck cancer. I met him once in a bar on Deansgate in Manchester circa 2006 I think he'd just taken over at City. He was more than happy to have a quick chat. Obviously I asked him his thoughts on Wednesday, and without even blinking he mentioned Roland. Apparently they played the same position. 2 Quote

Tylluan Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Spent a bit of time with him, on and off, when he was at Notts County, mainly in Hart's bar. Nothing but an absolute gent but you could tell why the ladies fell for him. Didn't take a penny out of County when it all came out. Even paid his, and his assistant managers, accommodation bills and they both paid their wages back into the club. Sol Campbell, on the other hand, is a different story. RIP Sven 5 Quote
