  1. Fantastic.... until she turns up as an "expert" pundit.
  2. I'm pleased for him. How do you reckon he compares to Palmer? Wonder if there is anything behind the name and the number 14. Or am I slow? Still, not a great game, quality finally got us through. Who do we want in the next round?
  3. Good grief. Why did I get up at 3:30am to watch this? Even the cat has left the room. Can't say that anyone is playing well.
  4. We'd be okay if we had as many decent central midfielders as wingers. I think that also counts for central defenders too. I still think we can beat 25% of the teams in this league. I just hope Danny hasn't been found out like Carlos was in his second season.
  5. I teach English and there are far too many vowels even to try.
  6. RIP and fuck cancer. I met him once in a bar on Deansgate in Manchester circa 2006 I think he'd just taken over at City. He was more than happy to have a quick chat. Obviously I asked him his thoughts on Wednesday, and without even blinking he mentioned Roland. Apparently they played the same position.
  7. Friday 23rd Wednesday v Leeds 1-1 Saturday 24th Norwich v Pigs 2-1 Stoke v West Brom 0-1 Sunderland v Burnley 1-2 Watford v Derby 2-0 Sunday 25th Swansea v Cardiff 2-0
  8. I didn't enter from the start. Sorry!
  9. Absolutely bummed them all over. Could/ should have been 8-0 at least. Why are we still crap at corners...doesn't matter when we win like that though Who were your stand out players? Inglesson and Valery looked good. Windass was quiet but got a goal.
  10. Interesting read and best wishes! The last time I had a ticket for a game was that bloody Forest game of March 2020. I ended my contract with my decent job in Korea because my best friend was getting married and they wouldn't let me have time off. I'd already agreed a new job starting in April, so no real worries. I arrived in England and then the game was called off. The wedding was postponed and then I had to cancel my flight plus my new job offer was revoked. I got stuck in Hoyland for 6 months, playing cards, counting my feet, and doing anything for excitement. Poor John, I'm sure many will know him, he went all over the country for years. He finally got married 2 years later, sadly I couldn't attend. On happier notes, I've watched us win in Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Philipines, Greece, Turkey and Indonesia.
  11. I liked Luongo too. Hutch, Lee, Lopez, and Bannan. Remember BB played on the left for a while. Which two would you pick to play together as the best central midfield duo in the last 10 years?
  12. I wouldn't have minded him coming back but I'm not going to cry over it. We aren't short on wingers. One more solid midfielder would do. Can't wait for Iniesta to sign.
  13. He was almost really good. Almost....
  14. Agree with Iorfa and maybe Vince.. Wouldn't have Reach at left wing back especially with McGugan as cover. We'd get hammered. Lopez was good but can't remember much of him. Lee and Hopper 100%. FF as Baz said... On his day but we could say that about Wallace and Joao too.
  15. Who would you have instead of Fletcher and Hutchinson? EDIT: Got my dates wrong.
